Daytimes on Costa Adeje centre on the two Blue-Flag Beaches – the volcanic sands of Playa Fañabe and the golden sands of Playa del Duque – each perfect for topping up your tan or enjoying water sports from jet-skiing and parasailing to fly fishing and sailing. Adventure seekers can rip through the Vulcano or go blasting down the Tower of Power at Siam Park. Ardent shoppers get to pick up a bargain at the twice-weekly Fañabe Market or splurge their Euros at Centro Comercial Plaza del Duque or Centro Comercial El Mirador. Travel south to Los Cristianos to take a ferry ride to the neighbouring islands of La Gomera, La Palma, and El Hierro, while nearby Monkey Park is home to entertaining monkeys. Venture to Teide National Park at the heart of Tenerife to ride the Teleférico cable car over Mount Teide’s crater or to go stargazing in the night sky. Puerto de la Cruz is the gateway to Loro Parque’s parrots, flamingos, penguins, tigers, and turtles and basking in the sunshine at Lago Martiánez’s sea water pools. Santa de La Cruz offers a spot of culture at Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Nature and Man.
