When is the best time of year to visit?

The best time of year to visit Malaga is just before and right at the end of summer in May or September. This is the perfect time as the weather is perfect for relaxing beach days, but not too hot for walking around the city and visiting the attractions. There are also slightly fewer crowds at this time than during the peak summer season and prices for accommodation and flights tend to be a little cheaper. If you’re looking for just a standard beach holiday where you can spend your days topping up your tan and visiting beach bars, then the peak summer season between June and August is the best time to visit Malaga. Long sunshine hours means you can stay out for most of the day and then enjoy the nearby restaurants in the evening. For those wanting a cheap holiday to Malaga the winter season is a good time to visit. Between November and February there are fewer crowds and flights and accommodation are cheaper due to reduced demand. The average temperature is still a comfortable 13°C to 17°C and much warmer than the usual temperature in the UK at this time.

How long should I stay in Malaga?

Malaga has lots to offer meaning that no matter how long you stay there will always be something to do or explore. 3-4 days is considered to be an ideal length of time if you just want to explore the city centre and some of the main attractions whilst also having time to relax by the beach. However, a longer stay of between 7-10 days allows you to truly take in all Malaga has to offer, and even leaves time for day trips and adventures to nearby quaint towns in the Andalusian region.

Can a holiday to Malaga be cheap?

It is possible to enjoy a cheap holiday to Malaga. All inclusive packages can be found at a range of hotels and resorts that will keep the costs of food and even entertainment low during your trip. Travel after the peak summer season when prices are lower due to less demand, and stick to budget-friendly cafes and bars in the Old Town and by the beach.

Can you have a luxury holiday in Malaga?

Malaga features multiple boutique resorts and hotels that offer excellent service and cater for larger budgets and guests wanting luxurious experiences. You will also find gourmet dining experiences in the Old Town. Luxury activities on offer include private boat trips and visits to luxury spas and wellness places.

Can you book a last-minute trip?

Yes! Malaga has lots of accommodation available and flights from airports up and down the UK. This means even if you’ve left it to the last minute to book, there will still be many options available.
