About this tour
Comprising routes from China to Europe, the Silk Road prominently included present-day Uzbekistan. Its volatile history, passing from invader to invader - including the Turko-Mongols, British and Russians - has left its mark the architecture. It's especially evident in the striking ceramic tiles can be found scattered around cities like Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, with many of the ornate mosaics decorating the incredible monuments.
