Tour Itinerary

• Day 1 • UK - Oslo

  Make your way to the airport for your flight to Oslo. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in the centre of the city. The rest of the day is free to explore your new surroundings. Wander through the contemporary neighbourhood of Bjørvika with its skyline including the Opera House and Munch Museum. Alternatively, the waterfront district of Aker Brygge offers a more leisurely introduction.

• Day 2 • Oslo

  Explore Oslo’s most celebrated landmarks with an expert local guide, visiting Karl Johans gate, the city’s main shopping street, Akershus Castle and Fortress and the colonnaded Royal Palace. Then head through Oslo’s prettiest neighbourhoods to Vigeland Park to view over 200 granite, bronze and cast iron sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. The afternoon is free to explore independently.

• Day 3 • Oslo - Orebro

  After breakfast, leave Oslo and head into Sweden, crossing a landscape of forests, lakes and open farmland, before reaching Örebro. Visit the towns historic buildings and lively market square, before delving into history at the 13th-century medieval castle.

• Day 4 • Orebro - Stockholm

  Travel to Stockholm for a day exploring the capital city at leisure.

• Day 5 • Stockholm

  A full day in Stockholm, begins with a guided city tour taking in the highlights, from the Gamla Stan and the Royal Palace to the graceful City Hall and the island of Djurgarden. Later, visit the Vasa warship museum and Skansen, the world’s oldest open-air museum, before boarding a cruise across the lock that connects the Baltic Sea to Lake Mälaren.

• Day 6 • Stockholm - Jonkoping

  Head south, passing through the province of Småland, until you reach Jönköping. Locally known as the ‘Pearl of the Lake’ with Vättern Lake to the north and two smaller lakes, Munksjön and Rocksjön, sitting within the city centre itself.

• Day 7 • Jonkoping - Copenhagen

  Cross into Denmark and make your way to Copenhagen, the Danish capital and one of Europe’s most consistently admired cities. On arrival, explore the city at leisure, discovering royal palaces, Renaissance castles and the colourful canal-front of Nyhavn.

• Day 8 • Copenhagen

  Enjoy a guided tour through Copenhagen’s most celebrated landmarks, visiting Christiansborg Palace and the Royal Theatre before passing by the baroque Rosenborg Castle. Continue to Amalienborg and the Gefion Fountain, then take in the famous Little Mermaid statue by the harbour promenade.

• Day 9 • Copenhagen - UK

  After a final Scandinavian breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
