About this tour
Explore Scandinavia’s highlights and most captivating capitals on this nine day journey through Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Begin your adventure in Oslo, where waterfront architecture and world-class museums take centre stage. Venture through the contemporary neighbourhood of Bjørvika, taking in the skyline of the Opera House and Munch Museum, before exploring Oslo’s most iconic landmarks, including Akershus Castle and Fortress, Karl Johans gate and Vigeland Park.
Travel south through the heart of Sweden, passing through scenic forests and serene lakesides before pausing in the medieval castle town of Örebro. Immerse yourself in the history of the city with a visit to the medieval castle that rises from the Østerå River. Later you’ll arrive in the colourful city of Stockholm, where you’ll take a stroll through the Gamla Stan, visit the Vasa warship museum, and cruise around the capital city through the lock connecting the Baltic Sea and Lake Mälaren.
Continue through the charming lakeside city of Jönköping before crossing the border into Denmark for two nights in Copenhagen. From royal palaces and Renaissance castles to the colourful canal-front of Nyhavn, lose yourself in the atmosphere and culture of the hygge lifestyle. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit famous landmarks, including Danish Parliament and the famous Little Mermaid statue by the harbour promenade. With expert local guides, carefully chosen hotels and a pace that allows you to savour each destination, this is Scandinavia at its best.
