Tour Itinerary

• Day 1 • Lima

  Fly to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel before discovering Lima's cultural and culinary highlights on a half-day guided tour.

• Day 2 • Lima/Tambopata

  Today, fly to Puerto Maldonado and continue by motorised canoe to the comfortable, intimate and exclusive G Lodge Amazon. Once you arrive, enjoy guided excursions led by expert naturalists to spot wildlife at nearby oxbow lakes and treetop towers

• Day 3 • Tambopata

  Continue your exploration of nearby oxbow lakes to learn about the jungle and its inhabitants. Be introduced to the area's rich flora by expert naturalist guides. Be prepared to go early morning or evening to avoid the midday sun, taking a leisurely pace.

• Day 4 • Tambopata/Cusco

  Take a boat transfer to Puerto Maldonado for a flight to Cusco. Once you arrive, spend the rest of your day at your leisure. Explore the former capital of the Inca Empire, uncovering winding street, monuments and markets.

• Day 5 • Cusco/Aguas Calientes

  Today, travel to Ollantaytambo, making a stop along the way to the Ccaccaccollo and the Planeterra Women's Weaving co-op. Here you and the family can meet the women who are part of the co-op and learn about traditional weaving methods. Afterwards, catch the train to Aguas Calientes.

• Day 6 • Machu Puicchu/Cusco

  Set off with a local guide to explore Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas. Delve deep into its rich history and gain insights into this massive mountaintop citadel while wandering through ancient dwellings, stone temples and sculpted terraces.

• Day 7 • Cusco

  Visit the Chocolate Museum in Cusco and learn all about the history of chocolate, the process of making it and the origin story of the truffle. Enjoy a hands-on demonstration, before creating your own truffles with a cooking lesson. After, spend a free afternoon in Cusco.

• Day 8 • Cusco/Lima

  Enjoy your final morning in Cusco before flying to Lima.

• Day 9 • Lima

  Today you'll fly back to the UK.
