Tour Itinerary

• Day 1 • UK - Antananarivo

  Take an overnight flight to Antananarivo, via Addis Ababa.

• Day 2 • Andasibe National Park

  Arrive in the afternoon and transfer to Vakona Forest Lodge for three nights, with an evening of welcome drinks and dinner.

• Day 3 • Andasibe - Vakona Private Reserve - Analamazaotra Reserve

  Enjoy a morning walk in the Andasibe National Park, before heading to Lemur Island in Vakona Private Reserve. Spend the afternoon on a walk in Andasibe, then embark on a night walk in the Analamazoatra Reserve, spotting nocturnal species, including mouse, greater dwarf and eastern woolly lemurs.

• Day 4 • Maromizaha Reserve

  Spend the day walking through the primary forest of Maromizaha Reserve, home to the black-and-white ruffed lemur, the diademed sifaka, Parson's chameleon and a wide variety of frogs. Later, head out on another evening walk before dinner.

• Day 5 • Antananarivo

  Drive back to Antananarivo for an afternoon city tour, before enjoying a special chef’s dinner in the evening.

• Day 6 • Antsahabe - Antsirabe

  Drive to Antsahabe for a short visit before continuing to the spa town of Antsirabe for a late lunch and afternoon tour.

• Day 7 • Ambositra - Ranomafana

  Set off early in the morning to Ambositra, known as Madagascar's handicraft and wood-carving capital. Enjoy a typical Malagasy lunch accompanied by folklore entertainment, before continuing to Ranomafana.

• Day 8 • Ranomafana

  Take a morning walk in Ranomafana National Park, searching for the three resident species of bamboo lemur. By afternoon, visit Tanala village, then enjoy an evening walk to spot native nocturnal species.

• Day 9 • Ranomafana

  Enjoy a morning walk in the national park, before an afternoon visit to the Ranomafana Arboretum, home to hundreds of rare tree species. This evening, take another nature walk.

• Day 10 • Ranomafana - Fianarantsoa - Ambalavao - Ranohira Isalo

  Drive through Fianarantsoa to Ambalavao, where you'll visit the Antemoro paper factory and the Anja Reserve, spotting ring-tailed lemurs. Continue to Ranohira for a three night stay.

• Day 11 • Isalo National Park

  Spend the next two days exploring the spectacular sandstone landscapes of Isalo National Park.

• Day 12 • Isalo National Park

  Seek out flora and fauna including ring-tailed lemurs, Malagasy hoopoes, Verreaux's sifakas and the elephant's foot plant, before enjoying a traditional music performance as the sun sets.

• Day 13 • Zombitse-Vohibasia National Park - Ifaty

  Travel towards the west coast, stopping en route at Zombitse-Vohibasia National Park for a two hour forest walk through the large baobab trees. Transfer on to Ifaty, a quiet coastal fishing village, where you'll stay for two nights.

• Day 14 • Ifaty

  Spend the morning relaxing at leisure, before exploring the nearby spiny forest in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.

• Day 15 • Ifaty - Antananarivo

  Take an early morning walk in the Reinala Private Reserve, before transferring to Toliara for your flight to Antananarivo.

• Day 16 • Antananarivo - UK

  Spend one last morning at leisure, before your return flight to the UK.

• Day 17 • UK

  Arrive in the UK.
