About this tour

This tour is a wonderful blend of some of the finest sights in northern Italy. Firstly, Lake Garda, where waves lap gently on the shingle shoreline, with the snow-capped Dolomite mountains in the background; then Venice, a unique city full of cultural delights such as the Doge’s Palace, St Mark's Basilica and the Grand Canal; lastly, Verona, one of the most romantic cities you will ever find and so appropriate as the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 • UK - Lake Garda

Fly from the UK to Lake Garda, where you’ll spend the rest of your day explore the stunning lakeside resort at your own pace. Settle into your hotel while admiring the lofty peaks surrounding the area.
Day 2 • Lake Garda

Enjoy an introduction to Lake Garda by exploring a selection of its lakeside villages, taking in the clean mountain air and natural beauty. Today you’ll tour the lake, passing through the charming, typically Italian villages and tiny harbours nestled along the shoreline.
Day 3 • The Dolomites

Venture to the stunning Dolomite Mountains, a natural landmark formed by geological activity around 230 million years ago, resulting in their distinctive pink and lime hues. Take in the lush pastures, towering pine forests and picturesque houses resembling Swiss and Austrian-style chalets.
Day 4 • Lake Garda

Enjoy a free day to explore Riva del Garda and Lake Garda at your leisure.
Day 5 • Venice

Discover the highlights of Venice on a guided tour, with incredible sites including St Mark’s Basilica with over 40,000 square feet of colourful mosaics, the Doge’s Palace showcasing opulent wood carvings, and the heart of the city, St Mark’s Square. Venice offers affordable dining away from the main square, and no visit is complete without a peaceful gondola ride through its quiet canals.
Day 6 • Venice

Relax with a free morning exploring your surroundings, before making your way to the Trentino region where you’ll delve into the cellars of a local wine estate before tasting some of the local produce.
Day 7 • Verona

Spend your day immersed in the town that inspired the Shakespearean classic Romeo and Juliet, Verona. Head on a guided walking tour, making your way through the narrow streets, complete with tasteful shops and a marketplace dating from Roman times.
Day 8 • Verona - UK

Travel by coach to the airport for your return flight back to the UK.
