About this tour

This tour is a wonderful blend of some of the finest sights in northern Italy. Firstly, Lake Garda, where waves lap gently on the shingle shoreline, with the snow-capped Dolomite mountains in the background; then Venice, a unique city full of cultural delights such as the Doge’s Palace, St Mark's Basilica and the Grand Canal; lastly, Verona, one of the most romantic cities you will ever find and so appropriate as the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 • UK - Lake Garda

On arrival in Lake Garda, a coach will take you to the delightful lakeside resort of Riva del Garda, beautifully surrounded by lofty peaks, situated at the more scenic north end of the lake. The rest of the day will be spent at leisure.
Day 2 • Lake Garda

Enjoy an introduction to Lake Garda by exploring a selection of its lakeside villages. Today you will take a tour of the lake, passing through some lovely, typically Italian villages complete with tiny harbours clinging to the shoreline with the mountains behind.
Day 3 • The Dolomites

Today you’ll head north to the stunning Dolomite Mountains the result of geological activity some 230 million years ago, giving them a gorgeous pink and lime-green hue. The foothills are strikingly green pastures studded with the occasional small shepherd’s house, a few sheep and goats here and there with pine forests stretching into the distance.
Day 4 • Lake Garda

Today is a free day to explore Rova del Garda and Lake Farda at your leisure.
Day 5 • Venice

After an early breakfast, take the drive to Venice, uniquely caught in a time warp and as culturally rich as any city can be. Take a walking tour during which you will see St Mark’s Square and its Basilica, the Campanile, and Doge’s Palace together with countless other places of interest.
Day 6 • Venice

Relax with a free morning to explore your surroundings as you wish before visiting a vineyard in the Trentino region this afternoon.
Day 7 • Verona

Verona is one of the most beautiful and pleasant cities in Italy and today you will take a guided walking tour in order to appreciate it at its best, discovering its hidden side too. Approach through the centuries-old city walls – when you enter the old town you cannot help but admire!
Day 8 • Verona - UK

Today your coach will take you to the airport for your return flight home.
