About this tour
This unforgettable adventure to enigmatic Japan begins in the capital, Tokyo. A real  highlight is Tokyo Tower, standing at 1,093ft take in stunning views from the observation deck, with even Mount Fuji in sight on a clear day. Next, you’ll view the stunning 7th-century Asakusa Sensoji Temple before experiencing an authentic rickshaw ride.
The iconic Mount Fuji is your next destination. Embark on a cruise on Lake Ashi for mesmerising views of the mighty mountain, before travelling by Bullet Train to Kyoto. Visit the famous Golden Pavilion, a stunning temple covered with pure gold leaf, before sightseeing in the Gion area, Kyoto’s most famous Geisha district.
Your journey continues to the historic city of Nara, where you’ll discover the impressive Todaiji Temple and its giant bronze Buddha before wandering through Nara Park among hundreds of free-roaming deer. Later, travel to Osaka and marvel at the majestic Osaka Castle, one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks.
In Hiroshima, visit Miyajima Island, one of the most scenic spots in Japan, known for the floating shrine of Itsukushima, before taking in the poignant sights of the Peace Memorial Park and A-Bomb Museum. Dedicated to Hiroshima’s nuclear bombing in the Second World War, the park was built on an open field created by the explosion.
Your final destination brings you to the gorgeous port city of Kobe. Take some time to explore at your own pace, before gathering with your fellow travellers to enjoy an authentic farewell dinner.
