About this tour
Rivalling any mountain range on earth for natural beauty, embark on an unforgettable journey hiking the iconic Dolomites with an experienced mountain leader.
Your journey begins in the charming village of Villabassa before starting your week with a walk through the flower-filled Braies Valley, passing farms and villages before reaching the stunning Lago di Braies, one of the most beautiful lakes in the region.
The next day brings you to high pastures and ridges along the Austrian border. Walk steadily, exploring the beautiful meadows under the ridge of Kreutzberg Pass. Enjoy mesmerising views towards the Rotwand and Monte Popera before visiting Nemes Alm hut to indulge in some homemade apple strudel.
Starting at 2,000m, ascend through gorgeous wildflowers to the summit of Strudelkopf standing at 2,310m. Along the way, enjoy local specialities at a mountain hut and take in panoramic views that stretch to the iconic Tre Cime.
Discover the unforgettable Tre Cime di Lavaredo, walking beneath these world-famous peaks, a true highlight of the Dolomites.
To complete the week, take the eastern approach route up to Monte Piana. This flat-topped mountain is surrounded by some of the most impressive scenery in the Dolomites and is the site of an open-air museum dedicated to the First World War.
Enjoy your final breakfast and reflect on what has been an inspirational escape in the Dolomites.
