• Days 1• Bangkok

  Arrive at any time.

• Day 2 • Bangkok to Kanchanabur

  Enjoy a klong boat tour of Bangkok including a visit to Wat Pho. Travel to Kanchanaburi and head to your floating rafthouse accommodation.

• Day 3 • Kanchanaburi

  Enjoy a day of sightseeing at Erawan Falls and the Bridge on the River Kwai.

• Day 4 • Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai

  Explore the Allied War Cemetery and the Thai-Burmese Railway Centre to learn more about the area's history. Travel to Ayutthaya and visit the historical sites of the old capital city. In the evening board an overnight train to Chiang Mai.

• Day 5 • Chiang Mai

  Arrive in Chiang Mai and explore the city. Visit Doi Suthep in the afternoon.

• Day 6• Chiang Mai

  Take a full free day to relax or explore the countryside of northern Thailand.

• Day 7

  The adventure continues with a two-night stay at The Bush Camp Chiang Mai, a luxury tented retreat overlooking the beautiful Ping River. Here you'll enjoy a unique hands-off elephant experience, visiting a free-roaming sanctuary where animal welfare is the highest priority. Learn about elephant conservation, prepare food for the herd and observe these magnificent animals in their natural environment. You'll also discover the traditions of the Karen Hilltribe community, enjoy authentic cultural experiences, savour delicious local cuisine and watch spectacular sunsets over the surrounding mountains. With luxury glamping accommodation, stunning scenery and unforgettable wildlife encounters, this extension provides the perfect finale to an incredible journey through Northern Thailand.

• Day 8 • The Amazing Bush Camp

  Transfer from Chiang Mai (around 2 hours) to The Bush Camp and enjoy lunch before check-in. Visit the chain-free elephant sanctuary, prepare food for elephants, and learn about Karen Mahout traditions through cultural activities. End the day with a mountain-top sunset experience, drinks, and a buffet dinner overlooking the Ping River.

• Day 9• The morning rituals of our mahouts and Elephants

  After breakfast, visit the free-roaming elephant forest, make paper from elephant dung, sample traditional coffee and snacks, and watch the elephants’ morning wash. Enjoy a Thai buffet lunch before free time by the pool or tent. Finish with sunset drinks, local delicacies, and a buffet dinner.

• Day 10• The elephant valley

  Following breakfast, visit Elephant Valley to observe free-roaming elephants, learn about animal welfare and veterinary care, and prepare supplement balls for them. Return to camp to check out, enjoy a final lunch with mountain and river views, then transfer back to Chiang Mai hotels or the airport.
