Victoria Self Drive Itinerary

• Days One to Three: UK to Melbourne - Travelodge Hotel Melbourne

  Arrive in Melbourne and check into your hotel for a three-night room-only stay in a Guest Room King. Discover the Old Melbourne Gaol or marvel at the views from Eureka Skydeck 88. Get up close to marine life at Melbourne Aquarium and wildlife at Melbourne Zoo and Healeville Sanctuary. Admire the stunning flora and fauna at Royal Botanic Gardens. Or perhaps head to Brighton, Williamstown, and St Kilda beaches to swim, surf, or sunbathe.

• Day Four: Melbourne to Apollo Bay – Seaview Motel and Apartments

  Pick up your hire car and hit the open road towards Apollo Bay and check into your One-Bedroom Apartment for an overnight room-only stay. Apollo Bay leads you to stunning ocean vistas from the viewing platform at Mariners Lookout, wandering along the 800-metre looped boardwalk through rainforest and ancient Myrtle Beach trees at Maits Rest, and a visit to Cape Otway Lighthouse Station atop 90-metre sea cliffs. Go koala spotting on a trip to Kennett River and bring your day to a close with a platter of Lorne Pier’s freshly-caught seafood as you admire the colourful sunsets.

• Days Six to Eight: Lorne to Mornington Peninsula – Peppers Moonah Links Resort

  Get back behind the wheel and drive towards the Mornington Peninsula for a three-night stay on a room-only basis. • Days Eleven to Twelve – Wilsons Promontory to Yarra Glen – Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort Spa

  Journey from Wilsons Promontory to Yarra Glen for a two-night stay in a Double Room Queen Bed with breakfast included. Savour the flavours of the Yarra Valley and Bendigo at the on-site Cellar Door and a rejuvenating experience at the day spa. Fit in some last-minute shopping at Melbourne Central, The Block Arcade, Royal Arcade, and Queen Victoria Market. Wander through the Central Business District’s Laneways to experience the café culture and vibrant street art. Explore the indigenous and international collections at the National Gallery of Victoria or head to St Kilda to see the resident penguins on the pier and enjoy Luna Park’s vintage rides.

• Day Fourteen – Fly Back to the UK

  Fly back to London Heathrow via Kuala Lumpur with many happy memories to look back on of your Australian self-drive adventure through Victoria and along the Great Ocean Road.
