Marrakech - Morocco's Colourful Heart
Marrakech is a feast for the senses. Follow the winding lanes of the medina, browse colourful souks filled with spices, textiles and handcrafted treasures, then emerge into buzzing squares where storytellers, musicians, and food stalls bring the city to life.
George's stay at Riad & Spa Esprit du Maroc places her right in the heart of the medina, just a 10-minute walk from the famous Jemaa el-Fna square. Dating back to the 18th century, the riad offers a beautifully atmospheric base for discovering the Red City, with a pool, spa and traditional Moroccan restaurant serving dishes including tagines, pastillas and Moroccan salads.
The Atlas Mountains - A Luxury Escape Above the Clouds
Just when you think Morocco couldn't get any more spectacular, the landscape changes completely. Around an hour from Marrakech, the foothills of the High Atlas offer a quieter, cooler escape surrounded by dramatic mountains, Berber villages, and incredible scenery.
Here, George is staying at Kasbah Tamadot, Sir Richard Branson's award-winning retreat, perched in the mountains near the Berber village of Asni. The hotel combines traditional Moroccan design and warm local hospitality with seriously impressive luxury, including individually decorated rooms, Riads and Berber tents, two restaurants, a spa, pools and tennis courts. It's a place where the itinerary can slow right down – but adventure is never far away.
Casablanca- Morocco's Glamorous Atlantic Finale
Marrakech brings the colour. The Atlas Mountains bring the tranquillity. Casablanca brings the glamour. Morocco's largest city sits on the Atlantic coast, where Art Deco architecture, traditional Moroccan influences, buzzing neighbourhoods, and oceanfront living come together. The city is home to the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, while the Corniche offers a more laid-back seaside side of Casablanca.
George's final stay is at Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca, an oceanfront retreat on the Corniche, where the hotel cascades towards the Atlantic with sweeping sea views. There's a spa inspired by Moroccan beauty traditions, an outdoor pool, and three restaurants and lounges, including oceanfront dining at Bleu. It's the perfect place to finish her adventure with a little glamour.
