Western Australia Road Trip by Camper Van

• Day 1 • Perth to Busselton

  Pick up your campervan in Perth (morning). Stop at Mandurah for coffee or a dolphin-spotting cruise. Continue to Busselton – walk the famous Busselton Jetty, one of the longest wooden piers in the world.

• Day 2 • Busselton to Margaret River

  Short, scenic drive into the Margaret River wine region. Visit local wineries, breweries, and the chocolate or cheese factories. Explore Ngilgi Cave or Yallingup Beach.

• Day 3 • Margaret River to Pemberton

  Drive through tall karri forests to Pemberton. Climb the Gloucester Tree or take a tram ride through the forest. Sample local wines or trout at a forest café.

• Day 4 • Pemberton to Denmark

  Travel through Walpole – walk the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk. Continue to Denmark, a charming coastal town. Visit Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks for a swim.

• Day 5 • Denmark to Albany

  Short drive to Albany, full of history and stunning coastline. Explore The Gap and Natural Bridge, Middleton Beach, and the ANZAC Centre.

• Day 6 • Albany to Esperance

  A longer drive, so depart early. Stop in Ravensthorpe or Fitzgerald River National Park for wild coastal views. Arrive in Esperance, home to some of the whitest beaches in Australia.

• Day 7 • Esperance & Cape Le Grand National Park

  Spend the day exploring Cape Le Grand National Park. Visit Lucky Bay, where kangaroos laze on the sand, and Hellfire Bay. Optional short hikes or swimming in turquoise bays.

• Day 8 • Esperance to Wave Rock

  Drive north to Hyden to see the famous Wave Rock and Hippo’s Yawn. Visit the Mulka’s Cave Aboriginal rock art site.

• Day 9 • Wave Rock to York

  Continue west through the Wheatbelt towns of Kondinin and Corrigin. Stop at the quirky Dog Cemetery or Tin Horse Highway (Kulin). Arrive in York, WA’s oldest inland town – explore its colonial streets and the Avon River.

• Day 10 • York to Perth

  Return your campervan by. Optional final stops: Swan Valley wine region or Kings Park for a farewell view of the city skyline.
