Doha & Sri Lanka

Day 1: UK – Doha, Qatar

Upon arrival in Doha, your private transfer will collect you and take you to the W Hotel & Residences Doha, where you'll check in for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis for your stopover in Qatar.

Day 2: Qatar

Spend some time discovering atmospheric Doha with its labyrinth of alleyways, harbours, sand dunes and the azure waters of the inland sea close by. 

Day 3: Doha - Colombo, Sri Lanka – Negombo, Sri Lanka

Enjoy your final breakfast and morning in Qatar before being transferred to the airport to catch your flight to Colombo. On arrival in Colombo, you'll be met by a representative of Jetwing Travels and directly transferred to Negombo. Check into the Jetwing Blue (or similar) for one night. 

Day 4: Negombo - Sigiriya

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll transfer to Sigiriya where you'll check into your hotel, the Jetwing Vil Uyana (or similar) for two nights. Afterwards, you’ll head on a loris night trail experience. Known for its protruding eyes and nimble limbs, the loris scavenges for insects and berries above the trees on a moonlit trail that has been carefully designed for you to observe the rare creature in its natural habitat. Accompanied by a resident naturalist, a quiet evening walk takes you through the streams and bamboo bridges of the lush forest eco-system to the loris Information Centre and Conservation Site. Equipped with harmless red light emitting headlamps that reflect off the characteristic eyes of the resident loris population, your silent search may even be prized with a close-up encounter of this fleeting species. 

Day 5: Sigiriya

After breakfast at the hotel, visit ‘World Heritage Site’ Sigiriya Rock Fortress (approx. 15 minutes’ drive). Then, transfer to Minneriya National Park (approx. 35 mins drive). With its 8889 hectares, Minneriya National Park is famous for its large population of elephants in herds of 100 to 150 roaming in the jungle. In addition to that, there are wild buffaloes, wild boar, spotted deer, sloth bear, crocodiles, jackals and various reptiles and amphibians. Afterwards, return to your hotel. 

Day 6: Sigiriya - Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to Kandy (approx.. 2.5 hours drive.) On arrival, check into the Grand Serendib Hotel (or similar) for one night. Spend the rest of the day at leisure in Kandy. Perhaps visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Day 7: Kandy – Bentota

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to Bentota. On arrival, check into the relaxing Cinnamon Bentota Beach for three nights on half board basis.

Days 8-9: Bentota

Spend your time at leisure at your Bentota hotel. 

Day 10: Bentota - Colombo

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer back to Colombo. On arrival, check into Marino Beach Colombo for one night. Discover forgotten Colombo, drive by the picturesqye structures, learn local gistory, and enjoy incredible street food!

Day 11: Colombo - UK

After breakfast, check out and meet your private transfer to the airport for your return journey back to the UK.
