• Day 1: UK to Cape Town, South Africa

  Fly from the UK to Cape Town for your 3 night pre cruise stay

• Day 2-3 Cape Town, South Africa - Aquila Private Game Reserve

  The bustling South African city of Cape Town is a mixture of cultures, cuisines, and landscapes. Ride the cable car to the top of iconic Table Mountain; the country’s most-photographed attraction and one of the new 'Seven Wonders of Nature'. Take a boat trip to visit the infamous Robben Island; where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned and has now been transformed into a living museum. Explore the candy-coloured houses and Cape Malay spice shops that line the streets in Bo-Kaap. Come face-to-face with a great white shark on a cage dive. Head to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens and get lost in the flora and fauna. Experience Victoria and Alfred Waterfront's Watershed Market, Two Oceans Aquarium, and Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa; dine on a delicious platter of fresh seafood with a waterside view, or sample street food and craft beer at V&A Food Market.

  The town of Luderitz sits on the coastline of south-western Namibia. Explore the town's streets lined with German colonial buildings and visit the Art Nouveau Goerke Haus built into the rock face on Diamond Hill. Enjoy the panoramic bay views from the Felsenkirche hilltop church and step inside to admire the amazing stained-glass altar panel. Discover the town's fascinating diamond-mining past at the Luderitz Museum or pay a visit to the Kolmanskop Ghost Town - once a thriving mining town that is now eerily abandoned.

• Day 7: Walvis Bay, Namibia

  Walvis Bay nestles on the coast of Namibia and is sheltered by the Pelican Point sand spit. Its majestic lagoon is home to fascinating birdlife including flamingos, pelicans, and Damara terns. Take a stroll around the stunning harbour and gaze out at the colourful fishing boats and ships that line the water's edge. On dry land, visit the Walvis Bay Museum and discover the town’s rich history and maritime background. Head to Pelican Point lighthouse and savour sweeping views of the surrounding bay and crashing waves. Alternatively, explore the water by boat and keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, whales, and Cape fur seals. Venture slightly further afield and explore the coastal sand dunes of Dune 7 - which mark the start of the Namib Desert - and get your heart racing with a plethora of sports and activities.

  Lome offers a vibrant mix of West African culture, coastal scenery, and everyday local life. Stroll lively beaches along the Gulf of Guinea, explore colorful markets filled with crafts and spices, and discover the city’s colonial architecture and cultural museums. Warm, energetic, and welcoming, Lomé provides an authentic taste of coastal Africa.

• Day 14: Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana

  Sekondi‑Takoradi blends coastal beauty with rich history and vibrant Ghanaian culture. Relax along Atlantic beaches, explore bustling markets filled with local crafts, and discover colonial landmarks that reflect the city’s past. Welcoming and full of energy, this twin‑city port offers an authentic taste of Ghana’s western coast.

• Day 15: Abidjan, Ivory Coast

  Discover Abidjan - the 'Paris of West Africa' - on the Ivory Coast's southern Atlantic shoreline. One of Africa’s largest cities (and the second largest French speaking city in the world), Abidjan is a modern city with its own distinct tropical soul. Admire the skyscrapers that rise above the Ébrié Lagoon, modern landmarks such as the ziggurat-like La Pyramide, and the iconic St Paul's Cathedral tethered to a gigantic cross. Pay a visit to Le Musée des Civilisations de Côte d'Ivoire to see the artwork, cultural relics, and handicrafts on display and indulge in a spot of retail therapy at the 55+ high-end shops in PlaYce Marcory mall.

• Day 19: Banjul, Gambia

  Gambia is referred to as Africa’s Smiling Coast and Banjul is the country's capital city. Not only is Banjul home to the mouth of the Gambia River, its locals are famously friendly and eager to share their colourful culture with visitors. Pay a visit to the colonial-style National Museum dedicated to Gambia's rich culture and history. Head to Albert Market for an authentic taste, look, and touch of local life; not forgetting the colourful textiles and local produce. Head inland to Abuko Nature Reserve, where you’ll find the closest tropical forest to Europe and an abundance of monkeys and colourful birds.

• Day 20: Dakar, Senegal

  Dakar is the capital of Senegal and sits on the Cape Verde Peninsula on West Africa's Atlantic coastline. Enigmatic, electric, and endlessly explorable; the city is the westernmost point of the African continent and was an important trading point for European colonial powers. Explore the traditional Médina quarter with its Grande Mosquée topped by a towering minaret. Pay a visit to Musée Théodore Monod filled with cultural artefacts including clothing, drums, carvings, and tools. The city really comes to life after dark with its vibrant nightlife inspired by the local Mbalax music.

• Day 22: Porto Grande, Cape Verde

  Porto Grande, also known as Mindelo Bay, is a bay situated on the north coast of the Cape Verde island of São Vicente; the city of Mindelo is also situated at Porto Grande Bay. Porto Grande Bay was voted the fifth 'most beautiful bay in the world' in 2013, and it is considered one of the seven wonders of Cape Verde. Don’t forget to visit the nearby Torre de Belém, which is a scaled-down replica of Lisbon's centuries-old tower. The city of Mindelo is a charming and cosmopolitan district with a thriving culture and bustling bars and cafes. Indulge in local cuisine as you listen to good music, or wander the streets to see breath-taking scenery and landmarks including the Governor's Palace and Paço do Concelho city hall.

• Day 25: Arrecife (Lanzarote), Spain

  Today the ship drops anchor at Arrecife, the capital of the Canarian island of Lanzarote. Two splendid castles form the backdrop to the harbour - the 15th-century Castillo San Gabriel and 17th-century Castillo San Jose. Meander through the Old Quarter and admire the 17th-century San Ginés Church with its bell tower and Mudéjar-style ceiling. Indulge in retail therapy at Centro Comercial Marina Lanzarote before relaxing with a lunch of paella or fresh fish overlooking Charco San Ginés. The beautiful golden sands of Playa de Reducto are the perfect place to spend a few hours sunbathing. Venture inland to explore the lunar landscapes of Timanfaya National Park's fire mountains and Cesar Manrique's unique Jardin de Cactus on the outskirts of Guatiza and Jameos Del Agua cave.

• Day 26: Agadir, Morocco

  Sitting at the foot of the Anti-Atlas Mountains alongside the Atlantic Ocean in Morocco; the southern coast resort of Agadir is a vibrant place to visit. Spend time hiking to the hilltop Kasbah to gaze at the medieval architecture and catch a bird’s eye view of the city, which was destroyed by an earthquake and received a modern re-build in the sixties. Wander the avenues lined with palm trees and high-rise hotels which contrast with traditional minarets and bustling bazaars. Visit the beautiful stretch of beach for a peaceful afternoon's sunbathing and swimming. Get up close to the crocodiles at Crocopark east of the city or go on a birdwatching trip amongst the pink flamingoes, ducks, herons, and cormorants at Souss-Massa National Park.
