A Leeds travel agent has been crowned Manager of the Year at a prestigious national awards ceremony.

Luke Nicol of Hays Travel was named Manager of the Year at the Travel Industry Awards by Travel Trade Gazette on Wednesday night.

The travel industry’s best and brightest had gathered at London’s infamous Roundhouse to celebrate and recognise its stars of the last year.

The Travel Industry Awards welcomed more than 800 guests to the iconic Camden venue, with TV presenter, Dermot O’Leary, presenting the awards.

Leeds travel agent, Luke Nicol, scooped the Manager of the Year award. He said: “To win this prestigious industry award with so many inspirational leaders in the category is truly humbling.

“I have worked so hard across my 16 years in the industry and it's all been worth it to win Manager of the Year 2025.

“I couldn't have achieved this without my assistant managers, Kealie and Michaela, but also my fantastic team who work so incredibly hard. This award is for you all.”

Luke, 35, has headed up Hays Travel’s store in the Leeds White Rose shopping centre for almost six years.
