• Day 1 • Fly to Johannesburg

  Start your safari holiday with an overnight flight to Johannesburg.

• Day 2 • Safari Plains & Wildlife Talk

  Arrive in Johannesburg and drive north to your camp at the foot of the Waterberg Mountains, enjoying lunch with fellow travellers. Spend the afternoon at leisure—relax by the pool, unwind in your tent, or watch the sunset from your veranda, perhaps with high tea—before gathering in the evening for an expert-led wildlife talk and dinner.

• Day 3 • Morning Game Drive & Afternoon At Leisure

  Rise early for your first Mabula game drive, spotting herds of antelope as they move through the open savannah, before returning to camp for breakfast and leisure time. Spend the afternoon at your own pace—relax by the pool, enjoy high tea, or indulge in a spa treatment—before gathering for dinner in the camp restaurant.

• Day 4 • Afternoon Game Drive with Sundowners

  Wake up early to watch the sun rise over the mountains or enjoy a leisurely morning after breakfast. In the afternoon, head out on a safari in search of the Big Five—lion, leopard, black rhino, elephant, and buffalo—spotting big cats resting in acacia trees, then relax with a classic sundowner of drinks and snacks as the sun sets over Waterberg before returning to camp for dinner.

• Day 5 • Morning At Leisure & Included Afternoon Game Drive

  Spend a leisurely morning with breakfast before your third game drive in Mabula Game Reserve, where besides the Big Five you may spot bushbabies, vervet monkeys, pangolins, and burrowing mongooses. In the afternoon, venture into the UNESCO-listed Waterberg Biosphere to see flocking zebra, roaming antelope—including the rare tsessebe—and giraffes across the open savannah, before returning to the lodge for dinner.

• Day 6 • Morning Game Drive & Evening Stargazing Experience

  Enjoy a morning game drive with another opportunity to spot the Big Five, setting out with a hot drink at sunrise to look for vibrant birdlife such as the endangered ground hornbill, kori bustard, and martial eagle. After breakfast back at camp, spend a relaxed morning and afternoon at leisure—perhaps soaking up the Waterberg scenery, visiting the bar, or enjoying afternoon tea—before gathering for an early dinner and a guided stargazing experience beneath the clear night sky, listening for the distant roar of big cats.

• Day 7 • Included Morning Bushwalk & Afternoon Game Drive

  Set out at sunrise for a guided bush walk, tracking kudu, zebra, and perhaps even lion on foot while discovering vibrant plant life and smaller creatures often missed on game drives, offering an intimate perspective of Mabula’s wildlife. After returning to camp for a late breakfast and leisure time, head back into the reserve for an afternoon safari in search of iconic species such as springbok and the blue crane, before sharing dinner at the lodge with fellow guests.

• Day 8 • Included Morning Game Drive & Bush Lunch

  Gaze out on a memorable sunrise over the Waterberg mountains before fuelling yourself for your final full day in the South African bush with breakfast with your fellow guests. This morning will see you set out on your last game drive so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for any of your wish-list sights as you journey through the Waterberg Biosphere. After this morning’s excursion, you’ll stop at a scenic spot in the bush to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch – crowning your time on safari in unique and truly authentic style. You’ll then return to your luxury camp this afternoon for the final dinner of your safari adventure.

• Day 9 • Travel to Johannesburg

  Enjoy your breakfast at the camp and make the most of your final day in South Africa with a morning under your own steam. Packed and ready to go, now is the time to tick off any last experiences at the camp that you might have missed. You’ll then depart back to Johannesburg for an overnight flight back to the UK.

• Day 10 • Arrive back in the UK

  Land back in the UK today, relaxed and thoroughly pampered, after your unforgettable safari adventure with memories that are sure to last a lifetime.
