Tour Itinerary

• Day 1 • Journey to Sydney

  Begin your journey to Sydney.

• Day 2 • Sydney

  Your flight may arrive in Sydney quite late, so we'll transfer you directly to the hotel where you can check in and enjoy a rest after a day of travelling. Try to get a good night’s sleep, as tomorrow you have a free day to get to know Sydney.

• Day 3 • Sydney

  Enjoy a free day in Australia’s biggest city - Sydney.

• Day 4 • Sydney

  Learn about Sydney’s history and visit its iconic sites - The Rocks, Bondi Beach, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and Sydney Opera House.

• Day 5 • Blue Mountains

  Spend a day in the Blue Mountains, including a visit to Scenic World to enjoy the best views.

• Day 6 • Brisbane

  Head to Brisbane to meet cuddly koalas and get to know the city on a river cruise.

• Day 7 • Brisbane

  Relax and explore with a free day in Brisbane.

• Day 8 • Cairns

  Today we’ll take a flight from Brisbane to Cairns, a small city on Australia’s north-east coast. After the two-and-a-half-hour flight, there will be a short transfer to your hotel. After you’ve checked in, we’ll have a free afternoon to either rest and relax at the hotel – perhaps take a dip in the pool to cool off - or get out and see this colourful city. In stark contrast to Sydney, there’s no glitz and glamour in Cairns. Instead, head to one of the local pubs and get chatting with the friendly locals over a schooner or two of Aussie beer.

• Day 9 • Kuranda Scenic Railway

  Visit the mountain village of Kuranda and explore the rainforest on the scenic railway.

• Day 10 • Great Barrier Reef

  Sail to the Great Barrier Reef on an unforgettable immersion in nature.

• Day 11 • Cairns

  Today is all yours to spend as you wish. If you’re feeling tired and in need of rest, enjoy a guilt-free day relaxing at the hotel. Alternatively, you can use your time to stroll around Cairns, visiting the Botanical Gardens, museums, Josephine Falls swimming hole, Rusty's market and more - our Tour Manager can help you choose where to visit - or book a day trip out of the city. We can recommend a tour to Cape Tribulation which is a remote coastal area within the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Daintree National Park, offering a combination of rainforest and beaches.

• Day 12 • Melbourne

  Depart Cairns and make your way to Australia’s cultural capital – Melbourne.

• Day 13 • Melbourne

  Get to know the highlights of Melbourne on an introductory tour.

• Day 14 • Great Ocean Road

  Drive the Great Ocean Road, one of the most beautiful coastal routes in the world.

• Day 15 • Puffing Billy and Phillip Island

  Escape the city on a classic steam train, visit the wild Koala bears, spot marine life at Nobbies Centre, and watch the famous penguin parade.

• Day 16 • Melbourne to Uluru

  Fly to the Red Centre of Australia to see the sacred monolith of Uluru and finishing off with a visit to "Sunset Strip" to watch the sunset.

• Day 17 • Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

  Experience Uluru at sunrise, before taking walks to see the park’s national beauty and learn about local Aboriginal culture.

• Day 18 • Uluru to Sydney or Melbourne

  This morning we’ll return to the airport for our flight back to either Sydney or Melbourne, where we spend one last night before returning home.

• Day 19 • Depart Australia

  Say goodbye and start your journey home.

• Day 20 • Arrive Home

  Arrive back in the UK after an incredible once-in-a-lifetime tour.
