Tour Itinerary

• Days 1-3: UK - Beijing

  Upon arrival in Beijing, begin your exploration of this amazing city. Walk through Tiananmen Square into the sprawling Forbidden City before visiting a local family in Beijing’s atmospheric Hutongs. Visit the Temple of Heaven and later enjoy a feast of traditional Peking duck.

• Day 4: The Great Wall

  Rise early to travel to the Juyongguan Pass for a walk on the Great Wall of China. After free time on the Great Wall, explore the exquisite gardens and temples of the Summer Palace.

• Day 5: Beijing - Xian

  Take a bullet train to Xian. On arrival, wander through the Muslim Quarter, known for its street food, and enjoy a dumpling banquet as you watch a Tang Dynasty show.

• Day 6: Xian

  Spend the morning viewing the enigmatic ranks of the life-size Terracotta Warriors, horses and chariots which make up the Terracotta Army. Visit the workshop where the smaller models are made and after, explore the 14th-century city walls that enclose Xian’s Old Town.

• Day 7: Xian - Chengdu

  Enjoy a bullet train journey to Chengdu where you’ll visit the vibrant People’s Park.

• Day 8: Yangtze River Cruise to Zhangjiajie

  Spend a morning at the Panda Conservation Centre to see the adorable giant pandas! Then drive to Chongqing to board your Yangtze River cruise vessel for the next three nights.

• Days 9-11: Yangtze River Cruise

  The next few days are spent exploring the treasures of the Yangtze River. Visit the beautiful scenic area of Mount ShuangGui, prepare for breathtaking views as you sail through the Wu and Qutang Gorges, hop on a smaller boat to meander along the Goddess Stream, and marvel at the impressive Three Gorges Dam.

• Days 12-14: Zhangjiajie

  Having arrived in Zhangjiajie the previous day, you now have three days exploring the spectacular National Park. Highlights include the world’s highest and fastest glass elevator, Hallelujah Mountain, and a peaceful sampan cruise on beautiful Baofeng Lake. Walk across the sprawling Grand Canyon via the world’s longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge and soar up the heights of Tianmen Mountain via the world’s longest cable car.

• Day 15: Shanghai

  Spend the final day of your tour exploring Shanghai. Visit the peaceful Yu Garden, wander through the alleys of the atmospheric old town, see the colonial architecture of The Bund and see the city lights at night via a cruise on the Huangpu River.

• Day 16: Shanghai - UK

  Your tour ends today. Head to the airport for your flight home to the UK.
