I’ve been visiting regularly since I was 22, and each trip feels just as exciting as the first. I’ve explored all the major theme parks multiple times, stayed in a wide range of villa estates, and hotels, and truly immersed myself in everything Orlando has to offer.

As a bit of a foodie, I’ve dined in many of the popular restaurant chains and discovered some hidden gems along the way. I’ve also definitely done my fair share of shopping — from outlets to malls to unique local stores!

I’d confidently class myself as an Orlando expert, and my top tip? Hire a car. If you wouldn’t go without a car at home, why try in Orlando — it gives you the freedom to explore properly and makes the experience so much more enjoyable.

When we go, we stay for three weeks. There's just so much to pack in, and having extra time means we can really enjoy the villa, relax, do some shopping, and visit the parks at a comfortable pace. The parks have grown so much over the years that trying to squeeze them all into a two-week trip just doesn’t do them justice anymore.

And to make it even more special — about six years ago, we discovered we had family living in Florida! So now, every visit includes quality time with relatives in our favourite place. How amazing is that?

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to visit several of the beautiful Greek Islands, and I’m always dreaming about my next one! Each island has its own charm, but so far, Santorini is my favourite.

I’ve stayed on both sides of this breathtaking island, and it’s amazing how two places so close in distance can offer such different experiences.
On the east coast, I stayed in Kamari – a gorgeous little village with a relaxed vibe. Its promenade, just over a mile long, is lined with restaurant after restaurant, all serving the freshest food and some of the tastiest cocktails I’ve ever had. The walkway continues until you reach the giant rock formation that separates Kamari from Perissa, giving the coastline a dramatic and unique character. It’s the perfect spot to unwind.

On the west coast, I stayed in Firostefani, which flows into the capital, Fira. The walk between them takes you up and down winding paths and steps, with the stunning Caldera view constantly by your side. It’s simply spectacular – no wonder it’s such a popular cruise port! The whitewashed buildings, cliffside restaurants, and unforgettable sunsets are something everyone should experience at least once.

I’ve also visited Corfu and Rhodes, and I highly recommend both. They offer gorgeous resorts, beautiful beaches, and the warmest of welcomes from the locals. If you visit, make sure to explore Corfu Town and Rhodes Town – both are equally majestic, full of history, character, and charm.

Greece is a destination I’ll never tire of, and I’m already planning to tick off even more islands in the future. Which brings me perfectly to my next choice…!

Following on from my plan to visit even more amazing destinations, I truly believe that cruising is the way forward. Being able to explore multiple places in just one holiday? That’s the dream.

I’ve just returned from my first family cruise to Scandinavia and the Baltics, and the verdict was unanimous: it was one of the best — if not the best — holidays we’ve ever taken. And believe me, we’ve taken a lot! I’ll admit I was a little apprehensive about spending two weeks at sea with four children, ranging from late teens down to eight years old. But I can safely say: none of them wanted to leave the ship on the final day.

From hourly family entertainment, pool time, and 24/7 snacks, to incredible 3-course meals and non-stop fun, there wasn’t a single moment of boredom. And that was just the sea days!

Over the course of the trip, we enjoyed 9 days on land across six incredible countries — and every port gave us a day to remember. The variety and richness of experiences we had in just two weeks was truly unbelievable.

As my husband puts it perfectly:

“Floating around the world in a beautiful five-star hotel, being pampered, and going on day trips to amazing places… what’s not to love?”
