• Day 1-2: Charlotte

  Touch down in Charlotte and settle in for a relaxing first night in a comfy hotel before collecting your motorhome the next morning. If you’ve got time, take a wander through Uptown Charlotte or enjoy dinner at one of the city’s fantastic Southern-style restaurants. Next, get behind the wheel of your American fully kitted out Motorhome for a true South Carolina adventure. With 11 nights on the road, you’ll get to the opportunity to explore some of the state’s most stunning and diverse landscapes, charming small towns, and bustling cities. Suggested itinerary (there are campsites in all areas – to be paid direct by customers):

• Day 3: Table Rock State Park - Wilderness in the Blue Ridge

  Begin your motorhome adventure by heading into the Blue Ridge Mountains. At Table Rock State Park, you’ll find hiking trails, waterfalls, and stunning views over the forested landscape. Take on the Table Rock Trail if you’re up for a challenge or enjoy a gentle paddle on the lake.

• Day 4: Greenville - Waterfalls Meet Main Street Cool

  Roll into Greenville, a city full of charm and character. Don’t miss the incredible Falls Park on the Reedy, where a waterfall flows right through the heart of town. Grab dinner downtown or take a bike ride on the Swamp Rabbit Trail before heading to your peaceful campsite nearby.

• Day 5: Columbia - History, Museums & River Views

  Next suggested stop: Columbia, South Carolina’s capital. Explore the South Carolina State Museum, take a stroll around the beautiful Riverwalk Park, and maybe pop into the Columbia Museum of Art. Enjoy a campsite nestled in the woods just outside the city.

• Day 6: Congaree - Wild Swamps & Towering Trees

  Time to get off the grid and back to nature in Congaree National Park, known for its towering trees and mysterious floodplain forest. Hike the Boardwalk Loop Trail, canoe through the swamp, and spot wildlife like otters, owls, and turtles. It’s peaceful, wild, and totally unique.

• Day 7: Beaufort - Southern Charm by the Water

  Head south to Beaufort, a beautiful waterfront town with antebellum mansions, Spanish moss-draped oaks, and a super friendly local vibe. Wander the historic downtown, take a guided carriage tour, or kayak through the surrounding salt marshes.

• Day 8: Hunting Island - Sleep by the Sea

  Ready for a beach day? Stay right by the shore at Hunting Island State Park, one of South Carolina’s most popular and prettiest state parks. Climb the historic lighthouse, swim in the surf, or just relax under the palms with your toes in the sand.

• Day 9: Charleston - Cobblestones, Carriages & Coastal Elegance

  A great stop, take a step back in time in Charleston, the Holy City. Stroll the Battery, admire pastel homes on Rainbow Row, and explore historic markets and museums with a side of smooth, soulful jazz.

• Day 10-11: Myrtle Beach - Sun, Sand & Seaside Fun

  Next up, head to fun-filled Myrtle Beach for two nights of classic seaside entertainment. Ride the SkyWheel, stroll the boardwalk, or catch a live show at Broadway at the Beach. There’s a suggested campsite tucked among maritime forest, with the beach just a short walk away.

• Day 12: Lake Wylie - Lakeside Serenity

  Make your way back inland for a final night by the water at Lake Wylie. Enjoy a relaxing paddle, catch a sunset from your pitch, and toast to the penultimate night of your road trip with some marshmallows around the campfire.
