• Day 1-3: UK - New Orleans

  Your journey begins with two nights in ‘The Big Easy’ of New Orleans. Tuck into beignets at the French Quarter’s Café du Monde. Admire St Louis Cathedral on Jackson Square. Head to New Orleans City Park to gaze at the fine art at New Orleans Museum of Art and the awe-inspiring installations at Besthoff Sculpture Garden. Meet Audubon Zoo’s mysterious white alligators and Audubon Aquarium’s sea turtles. Listen to jazz at Preservation Hall and reggae and the blues along Frenchmen Street.

• Day 4-5: Lafayette

  Continue your journey to the ‘Happiest City in America’ – Lafayette. Dip into local cultures at Vermilionville Living History Museum & Folklife Park. Stargaze at Lafayette Science Museum’s planetarium shows. Follow the walking trails through Girard Park. Shop for local crafts at The Lafayette Farmers and Artisans Market. Experience a thrilling swamp tour through Atchafalaya Basin. Listen to every genre of music from jazz to rock at The Blue Moon Saloon and The Grouse Room.

• Day 6-7: Lake Charles

  Next, head to Lake Charles. Explore the history of the iconic festival at the Mardi Gras Museum. Play a round of golf at the Mallard Golf Club and The Max at The National Golf Club of Louisiana. Indulge in retail therapy at Downtown Lake Charles’ boutiques and antique shops. Keep your eyes peeled for alligators and 400 bird species along the Creole Nature Trail All-American Road. Dance to top 40 music and live bands at Cowboys or music with more of an edge at Panorama Musica House and Rijenjaks.

• Day 7-8: Baton Rouge

  Hit the open road towards Louisiana’s capital of Baton Rouge. Witness panoramic cityscapes from the Louisiana State Capitol’s observation deck. Stretch your legs with a walk or run along the Mississippi River Levee Path. Get interactive at The Louisiana Art & Science Museum. Get up close to 800+ animals at Baton Rouge Zoo. Taste award-winning Gumbo at Dempsey’s and Jambalaya at Acme Oyster House. Experience live music at The Texas Club and Varsity Theater.  

• Day 9-10: New Orleans

  Conclude your road trip back in New Orleans. Revisit your favourite New Orleans’ hotspots, from Jackson Square and the French Quarter to party central along Bourbon Street and Frenchmen Street. See the city from 34 storeys high at Vue Orleans or take a jazz cruise by steamboat on the Mighty Mississippi. Be sure to sample Napoleon House’s giant muffuletta sandwiches or dine on Antoine’s top-class Creole fare.
