Cruise Itinerary

• Day 1: UK to Bangkok, Thailand

  Fly from your chosen regional UK airport to Bangkok. On arrival be transferred to your hotel for a 3-night stay.

• Day 2-3: Bangkok

  Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is famous for its ornate shrines, ancient sites and vibrant street life. Why not spend half a day sightseeing at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew on a guided tour? Wat Pho is another must-see as the temple is the oldest in Bangkok - best known for the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Climb to the top of Wat Arun and watch the beautiful sunset over the Chao Phraya River. Enjoy peaceful tranquillity away from the bustle of Bangkok at Lumpini Park; chill out on one of the lawns, nap in the shade of a Chinese pagoda, or take a boat out to the lake. Shoppers will delight at Chatuchak Market; discover everyday Thai life as you explore nearly 15,000 stalls selling everything from jewellery and religious icons to animals and delicious street foods. Or, if you’re looking for something different, visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, also known as the ‘Venice of the East’, just an hour and a half outside of Bangkok. Here, you can buy fresh and delicious foods as well as conversing with the locals.

• Day 4: Leam Chabang (Embarkation Day)

  After checkout at your hotel be transferred to the port for your 14-night cruise onboard Norwegian Sun.

• Day 5: Koh Samui

  Explore Thailand's second-largest island — Koh Samui. Formerly known for its coconut plantations, the island is now famous for its white-sand coastline and exciting water sports. You can see Wat Phrayai and its 39-foot Buddha monument or head further inland to admire the stunning Na Muang Waterfalls. Pay a visit to the unique Hin Ta and Hin Yai rocks (the Grandpa and Grandma rocks). Get up close to indigenous marine and animal life at Samui Aquarium with Tiger Show. View the most famous poisonous snakes in Asia at the Snake Farm.

• Day 6: At sea

• Day 7-8: Ho Chi Min, Cambodia

  Dock at Phu My and travel to Ho Chi Minh City. Formerly known as Saigon, Vietnam's capital city has a strong heritage and vivid culture with plenty of modern twists. Explore French colonial architecture, shop at a designer mall and sample some street food as you wander around the energetic avenues. You can visit the colourful floating markets of Mekong Delta, before heading to the city's famous landmarks — including Notre Dame Cathedral, Jade Emperor Pagoda and the National Museum of Vietnamese History. Discover wartime Vietnam at the Cu Chi tunnels and Independence Palace, then treat yourself to port, sticky rice and seafood dishes flavoured with lemongrass, coconut milk and peanut dipping sauce!

• Day 10: Port Klang Kuala Lumpur

  The largest port in Malaysia, Port Klang serves the country’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia has both a large Muslim and Buddhist population; and a visit to the FGS Dong Zen Monastery provides a tranquil look into a Buddhist monk's life. Head to Bagan Hailam, where restaurants line the roads and are built on stilts over water. Here, taste the fresh seafood which the area is famous for. If you visit in early May, you may catch sight of the Chitra Pournami Hindu Festival which celebrates the Chitragupta, a Hindu deity. If you're looking for a glimpse of local life; take a ferry over to the mangrove-covered island of Pulau Ketam, otherwise known as Crab Island. This island has an entire village built on stilts and a visit will reward you with awe-inspiring sights.

• Day 11: Penang, Malaysia

  Penang is located alongside the Strait of Malacca on the north-western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Comprising two parts - Penang Island with its capital George Town and Seberang Perai on the Malay Peninsula. Ride a trishaw around the bustling streets and discover authentic local cuisine at the China House shophouses in Road Town. Travel on the cable car up Penang Hill or climb the 500 steps to Waterfall Hilltop Temple for stunning views. Explore the tropical oasis of herbs and spices at the Tropical Spice Garden or admire the winged beauties at the Butterfly Farm. While away a few hours at Batu Ferringhi beach or enjoy outdoor activities at ESCAPE theme park. Say a prayer at the Street of Harmony or gaze in awe at Wat Chayamangkalaram - Asia's largest reclining Buddha.

• Day 12: Langkawi, Malaysia Day

  Langkawi is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, just 30km off the north-western shore of Malaysia. Ride the SkyCab to the summit of Mount Mat Cincang before taking the mountain walk to the SkyBridge for awesome views. Pay a visit to the Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls and the Beach of Black Sand. Take a boat trip to Tasik Dayang Bunting Lake and the Gua Cerita and Gua Langsir caves. Go snorkelling amongst colourful fish and coral at Pulau Payar Marine Park; enjoy a mangrove tour at Kilim Geopark; or encounter 5000 marine species at Underwater World Langkawi.

• Day 13: Phuket, Thailand

  The ship drops anchor today on the island of Phuket. Be sure to head to the picturesque Patong Beach along the western coast — perhaps the most popular attraction. Take a short drive and see the famous Simon Cabaret show with its full ladyboy cast. For gorgeous scenic views over the island visit the Big Buddha statue or watch the sunset from Promthep Cape. Take a trip through the historical Old Phuket Town with its various cafes, restaurants, museums, shrines and temples. A visit to 19th-century Wat Chalong Temple is a truly magical experience.

  Today your cruise comes to an end you will be transferred to your hotel for a 2-night stay.

• Day 16: Singapore

  Singapore is one of the most popular destinations in Asia for tourism and it is very easy to see why. A modern day metropolis with a wide range of cultural diversity and a huge emphasis on technology all coming together to attract people the world over. Take a shopping trip down Orchard Road, a shopper’s paradise of designer shops and department stores you will be spoilt for choice for what to buy, journey to the Singapore Botanical Gardens with 120 acres showcasing some weird and wonderful plants or head to the world famous Raffles Hotel and relax with a Singapore Sling Cocktail. Singapore is a city that you will want to visit again and again.

• Day 17: Singapore

  Today you will be transferred to the airport and board your return flight home to the UK.
