Cruise Itinerary

• Day 1: UK to San Francisco, USA

  Fly for your chosen regional UK airport to San Francisco. On arrival be transferred to your hotel for a 3-night stay.

• Day 2-3: San Francisco, USA

  This hilly city is located in northern California on the tip of a peninsula surrounded by San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Famous for its year-round fog, the main attraction to visit here is the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. San Francisco is characterised by its culturally rich neighbourhoods and this 7x7 mile city is best explored on foot. Alcatraz, America’s most famous prison, can be seen on a rock in the middle of the bay; take a tour and see the inescapable cells. Haight-Ashbury, also known as ‘The Haight’, was home to the city’s hippie movement in the 1960’s and is now the place to go for high-end boutiques and uber-chic cafes. Sip coffee by the waterfront in North Beach, or join the keen joggers and cyclists who make the most of the massive green parks. Rest your legs and ride the cable cars up the city's sharp inclines.

• Day 4: San Francisco, USA (Embarkation port)

  Check out of your hotel and transfer to the port to begin your 10-night cruise onboard Ruby Princess.

• Day 8: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

  Puerto Vallarta is set on the Pacific coast of Mexico, surrounded by the impressive Sierra Madre Mountains. This picturesque resort is known for its sub-tropical climate, stunning beaches, and vibrant nightlife and restaurant scene. Take a stroll through El Malecon and discover the heart and soul of Puerto Vallarta through the array of stall vendors, street artists and iconic sculptures and statues. Admire Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe church in the town centre or visit one of the ceramic tile factories to watch the traditional Mexican tiles being made. Taste the local drink at a tequila distillery or head to one of the many authentic restaurants to taste traditional cuisine.

• Day 9: Manzanillo, Mexico

  Manzanillo sits on Mexico's Pacific coastline, overlooking the Bahia de Manzanillo and Bahia Santiago. This port city and resort boasts spectacular weather throughout the year and a lively beach scene. The waterfront promenade on Miramar Beach is a bustling hub filled with craft stalls and restaurants, with the nearby Laguna Miramar home to a myriad of animals and plants. The surrounding waters are perfect for scuba diving and snorkelling. The two world-class golf clubs in the area are a favourite with golfers or why not take a fishing trip out to catch the local sailfish?

• Day 10: Mazatlan, Mexico

  Step ashore at the Mexican resort town of Mazatlan. Enjoy a stroll along the 21km-long malecon or simply relax for a few hours on one of the adjoining sandy beaches. Meander through Old Mazatlan (Centro Historico) and admire the 19th-century Teatro Angela Peralta and the Basilica of Immaculate Conception or sit and people-watch on the tree-lined Plaza Machado. Climb up to the El Faro lighthouse for amazing panoramic views of the town and beyond, or explore all things beer-related on a tour of the Pacifico Brewery. Get up close to the marine life at Acuario Mazatlan or shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs at Mercado Jose Maria Pino Suarez. If you're feeling adventurous, the offshore waters are perfect for big-game fishing trips or you can whizz through the rainforest canopy on a zip line adventure.

• Day 11: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

  This resort city is located on the southern tip of Mexico's 800-mile long Baja California peninsula. The city is most famous for its beaches, water sports and nightlife. Visit the popular stone arch of El Arco, a magnificent natural rock formation where the Pacific Ocean meets the Gulf of California. For adrenaline junkies, visit Medano beach and get involved in a wide range of water sports, including jet skiing, snorkelling and parasailing. Lots of restaurants and bars also line the beach so you can enjoy a cocktail while you admire the picturesque view.

• Day 12-13 At sea

  Today your cruise comes to an end. Disembark ship and be transferred to the airport for your return flight home.
