• Day 1: UK to Tokyo

  Fly from your chosen regional UK airport to Tokyo. On arrival be transferred to your hotel for a 3-night stay.

• Day 2-3: Tokyo, Japan

  Tokyo port is situated in the heart of the Tokyo metropolis. This striking city is home to Japan's politics, economy, and culture. The waterfront where you'll dock is just a short distance from where you can jump on the bullet train, which serves as a great way of travelling around Japan. The Japanese take shopping seriously, and Tokyo has some of the best shopping districts to explore. For some peace and quiet, visit Hamarikyu Gardens; a large attractive landscape garden.

  Kanazawa is the capital of Ishikwawa Prefecture on Japan's central Honshu Island. Famed for its well-preserved Edo-era districts, art museums, and handicrafts; the 17th-century Kenrokuen Garden is celebrated for its classic landscape designs which incorporate ponds and streams. Adjacent to this, head to Kanazawa Castle to take in its lush grounds and impressive structure. Call by Omicho Market, a local food hub with over 160 vendors serving mouth-watering culinary delights. Discover traditional teahouses and shops along Nishi Chaya District or take a stroll around Kanazawa Castle Park to appreciate the cherry blossom trees. Marvel at Oyama Shrine, take pictures, and watch the world go by as you relax next to the pond.

• Day 11: Niigata

  Niigata is a port city in Honshu, Japan's main island. Along the Sea of Japan coast, the Marinepia Nihonkai Aquarium provides a fascinating insight into a variety of sea life species. See a fish-filled tunnel tank, as well as a penguin and sea lion exhibit. Discover Mount Yahiko and take a cable car to appreciate the idyllic surrounding views. Lake Hyoko is a 281-hectare reservoir area noted for its abundant bird life, particularly Whooper and Tundra swans. Take a peaceful walk around Hakusan Park to admire the lush greenery or Shibata Castle is a popular historic site for a look into Japanese life. Uncover the open-air Northern Culture Museum and its well-known mansion, gardens, and houses of the Edo period.

• Day 12: Akita

  Akita is the capital city of the Akita Prefecture in Japan. Wander the lush greenery and spot eye-catching flowers in Senshu Park. Make a visit to Akita Museum of Art to uncover a variety of captivating pieces from artists all across Japan. Spot red panda, raccoon, chimpanzee, and capybara at Akita Omoriyama Zoo or challenge yourself to hike the striking Mt Taihei. Savour panoramic cityscapes from Akita Port Selion Tower or visit the amazing Nakajima Library at Akita International University. Sample the traditional Kiritanpo dish, made of smashed rice. Discover the ancient history and excavations of Akita Castle or prepare a picnic and head to Tenno Green Land to sit by the lake and admire pretty views in the distance.

• Day 13: Aomori

  Aomori is the capital city of Aomori Prefecture, and is located in the northern region of Japan. This stunning city is famous for its beautiful apple orchards and cherry blossoms that cover the landscape. The snow-covered Hakkoda Mountains are the perfect backdrop for this lively city. Visit the Nebuta Museum Wa Rasse which is dedicated to the city’s famous summer Nebuta Matsuri festival. Gaze in awe at the floats up close without having to jostle for a place in the festival streets. Alternatively, journey back in time and spend an afternoon at the reconstructed village at Sannai-Maruyama Ruins.

• Day 14: Aomori

  Aomori welcomes you with its striking landscapes, rich traditions, and modern museum culture. Visit the iconic Nebuta Museum, sample local apples and seafood, and admire views of snow‑capped mountains and serene bays. This northern city blends art, heritage, and natural beauty with quiet elegance.

• Day 15: Miyako

  Miyako captivates with its pristine beaches, dramatic cliffs, and gentle island atmosphere. Discover the stunning coastlines of Jodogahama Beach, enjoy crystal‑clear waters, and wander peaceful seaside paths. It’s an inviting haven for nature lovers and those seeking tranquil Japanese scenery.

• Day 16: Sendai

  Sendai balances vibrant city life with lush green spaces and deep historical roots. Explore tree‑lined boulevards, visit the historic Zuihoden Mausoleum, and sample local favorites like gyutan (grilled beef tongue). With culture, charm, and coastal access, Sendai offers a warm, modern Japanese experience.

• Day 17: Hitachinaka

  Hitachinaka shines with its colorful gardens, relaxed coast, and easygoing charm. Wander through Hitachi Seaside Park, famous for its seasonal blooms, stroll sandy beaches, and enjoy local markets and seaside dining. It’s a bright, scenic stop full of natural beauty and gentle coastal vibes.

• Day 18: Tokyo, Japan

  (Disembarkation Day) Today your cruise comes to an end. You will disembark the ship and be transferred to the airport and board your return flight home to the UK.
