Cruise Itinerary

• Day 1: Barcelona, Spain

  Fly from your UK airport to Barcelona and embark onboard Oceania Nautica for your 10 night cruise

• Day 2: Palamos, Spain

  Situated along Spain’s Costa Brava the stunning town of Palamos is fringed with sun-kissed sands and is known for its water sports, hiking and fishing. Visit the warm shallow water of Cala Estreta or explore the remains of an Iberian castle perched on Fosca beach. Take a stroll along gleaming Mariana and gaze out at the stunning vessels setting sail. Discover the narrow streets of the historic old town or spend an afternoon soaking up the sun in one of the waterfront bars lining the stunning harbour.

• Day 3: Sete, France

  The cosmopolitan town of Sete nestles at the foot of Mount St Clair, between the Etang de Thau and the Mediterranean on the southern French coast. The town is gateway to the Languedoc region and comprises two areas - the low town with its port, canals, bridges, and Pointe Courte fishing village; and Quartier Haut, home to artists' ateliers and picturesque hillside villas. Take a stroll around the heritage buildings of Place Leon Blum, Place Aristide Briand, and Place de la Republique in the town centre. Pay a visit to La Chapelle Notre Dame de la Salette and admire the artworks on display at Musee Paul Valery and Le Musee International des Artes Modestes (MIAM).

• Day 4: Provence (Marseille), France

  Your stepping stone to the fields of lavender of Provence and charming villages like Cassis or Les Baux. Drop into one of the restaurants around the colourful Vieux Port (old harbour) and order Bouillabaisse, the hearty fish stew invented here.

• Day 5: Toulon, France

  Toulon is a port city on southern France’s Mediterranean coast, lined with sandy beaches and shingle coves. Board a Toulon cable car to Mont Faron and bask in the amazing views across the bay, visit Zoo du Mont Faron, and enjoy a host of activities such as rock climbing and mountain biking. Pay a visit to the Musée National de la Marine and lose yourself in Toulon’s rich naval history. Enjoy the morning market along Cours Lafayette, before indulging in traditional French cuisine at a nearby bistro. Spend a few hours on the Plages du Mourillon beaches to the east of the port.

• Day 6: Ajaccio (Corsica), France

  Ajaccio is a jewel on any Mediterranean cruise, one of the easiest destinations to navigate on foot, and one of the most characteristic ports you can see. Around the harbour, you can find a bustling world of French and Italian influence, with traditional Mediterranean restaurants and local artists on every street corner. Visit the ancestral home of French Emperor Napoléon Bonaparte and see the 16th-century Notre-Dame cathedral which is home to paintings by Delacroix and Tintoretto.

• Day 7: Golfo Aranci, Italy

  Golfo Aranci charms with its crystal-clear waters and laid-back Sardinian vibe. Relax on pristine beaches, savor fresh seafood at waterfront trattorias, and explore nearby gems like Costa Smeralda with its chic boutiques and stunning coastline. This picturesque port is perfect for sun, sea, and authentic Italian flavor.

• Day 8: Portofino, Italy

  Portofino is found on Italy's north-west coast between Genoa and La Spezia. This beautiful fishing village is renowned for its pretty harbour, colourful buildings and connection with the rich and famous! Once ruled by the French, English, Spanish, and Austrians; Portofino has a diverse and interesting heritage. See the Christ of the Abyss statue and 12th-century Church of St. Martin, before climbing the 'Salita San Giorgio' flight of steps leading from the harbour to Castello Brown — a castle transformed into a mansion featuring a neo-Gothic interior! Kayak and snorkel along the coast or take a sightseeing tour to Genoa and enjoy designer shopping.

• Day 9: Florence/Pisa/Tuscany (Livorno), Italy

  Livorno — Tuscany's second-largest city — is home to one of Italy's largest cruise ports. The city's main Terrazza Mascagni square with its grand pavement and seafront promenade is a common meeting place for locals looking to relax. The 16th-century Old Fortress faces the harbour and sits at the entrance to the canal-lined Venezia district. Enjoy gourmet dishes and sample local seafood, which is said to be the best on the Tyrrhenian Coast. Head to Central Piazza Cavour or the car-free Via Ricasoli for shopping, try Via Magenta and pick up some quirky souvenirs, or stop by Via dei Pensieri's street market for a great selection of food, clothing, accessories, and homewares. If you're looking to travel further afield, Pisa is just a short drive away.

• Day 10: Portoferraio (Elba), Italy

  The port city of Portoferraio is situated on the edge of the island of Elba. Built in 1548 on the ruins of Fabricia, the historic city’s architecture pays homage to its ancient Roman and Gothic roots. Travel back in time and visit the remains of the Roman villa in Le Grotte or view the ancient artefacts at the Archaeological Civic Museum. Take a walk up Portoferraio's highest hill to visit Forte Falcone or venture up to the stunning lighthouse at Forte Stella. Discover Napoleon's summer residence Villa San Martino with its magnificent neo-classical architecture.

• Day 11: Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy (Disembarkation Day)
