  Step ashore and uncover a world of adventure and indigenous wildlife in and around Port Elizabeth. • Day 4: East London, South Africa

  The South African city of East London sits on the estuary of the Buffalo River on the Eastern Cape's Indian Ocean coastline. Meander through the city centre and enjoy the colonial-style City Hall and the South African works of art at Ann Bryant Gallery. Head to the Hemingways Mall where you'll find over 200 shops, six cinemas, a bowling alley, and go-kart track. Bask on the golden sands of Orient Beach, Nahoon Beach, and Cove Rock. Discover fossilised human and animal footprints on display at East London Museum or step back in time at the museum at Gately House. View the indigenous African snakes at Apex Predator Park or get up close to the Big Five animals on a safari through the Inkwenkwezi and Mpongo Private Game Reserves.

  Durban sits on South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal coastline. This vibrant city boasts a long Golden Mile seafront promenade that runs from uShaka Marine World theme park and aquarium through to the Moses Mabhida Stadium. Escape to the tranquil surroundings of Durban Botanical Park to view the nearly-extinct living fossil plants or encounter 200+ bird species at Umgeni River Bird Park. Explore the Indian Quarter; home to Victoria Street Market and Juma Masjid Mosque. Enjoy family times at Mitchell Park and Jameson Park, Addington Beach, and Durban Ice Arena. Witness township life at Kwamuhle Museum and uncover Florida Road's eclectic mix of cafes, boutiques, galleries, and eateries. Savour a unique dining experience surrounded by sharks in The Cargo Hold at uShaka Marine World. Head inland to experience the Valley of 1000 Hills and PheZulu Safari Park.

• Day 10: Pointe des Galets, Reunion

  Pointe des Galets is a cape in the north west of Reunion Island and is now entirely occupied by the town centre of Le Port. This impressive place is a favourite with lovers of history, progress, and industry; check out the hiking trails of the live volcano Piton de la Fournaise, Mafate, and the majestic views from Maido. Reunion National Park is a great way to experience nature at its finest or perhaps swim, snorkel, and relax on the powder-white shores of Plage de l'Hermitage. Spot sea turtles and tortoise at Kelonia, take pictures next to the flowing waters of Grand Galet Falls, and Tabit Pass is another way enthusiastic climbers can appreciate panoramic vistas.

• Day 11-12: Port Louis, Mauritius

  Taste a true slice of Mauritian life when you step ashore at the island's capital, Port Louis. This vibrant metropolis is the perfect spot to go shopping at the lively Central Market or to sample local delicacies and the island's 58 varieties of tea by Le Caudan Waterfront. Trace Mauritian history at Blue Penny Museum and view the photographic exhibits at Musee de la Photographie. Admire the gorgeous giant Victoria Water Lilies at the famous Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens or walk under the shade of the banyan trees at Jardins de la Compagnie on La Chausee Street. Travel inland to take a horse-drawn carriage, Land Rover, or train ride through the 3,000-acre Domaine les Pailles Nature Park.

  The largest island of Seychelles, Mahé is a lush tropical haven fringed by turquoise waters and granite peaks. Victoria, the charming capital, hosts the colorful Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market and a miniature replica of London’s Big Ben. Explore the Seychelles Natural History Museum for insights into the island’s biodiversity. Take a scenic drive into the forested Morne Seychellois National Park to discover hiking trails, hidden waterfalls, and rare flora. Along the coastline, pristine beaches such as Beau Vallon invite swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing under swaying palms.   Cochin, also known as Kochi, is situated in India’s south west coastal state of Kerala. The city is a mix of cultures and influences: you will find giant fishing nets, ancient mosques, Portuguese style homes, and the crumbling remains of the British Raj. Visit Kerala Kathakali Centre to experience traditional masked Kathakali dance shows or pay homage to the mother goddess, Shakti Devi, at the famous Chottanikkara Devi Temple. Explore the beautiful lake of Vembavad, where you’ll find a stunning mix of tropical vegetation and traditional rural life.

• Day 21: New Mangalore, India

  With its tight winding streets, and its stunning traditional architecture New Mangalore will leave you mesmerised from the start. Take a trip through this traditional city and wonder in the ancient architecture or visit the magnificent Kudroli Gokarnath Temple, one of the largest in the area and the Thousand Pillars Jain Temple which has been standing for more then 560 years.
