A Spennymoor travel agency has been crowned the Best Travel Business in England at England’s Business Awards.

The Spennymoor branch of Hays Travel received the top accolade at the national final of England’s Business Awards 2025, which was held at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on Sunday 16 November.

Hays Travel Spennymoor branch manager, Clare McGarr, said: “We are so very proud and feel very humble that our customers have not only nominated us but voted for us to win this award.

"We are overjoyed to be recognised by our customers for our customer service and passion for booking their holidays!

“I am very proud of the team and everything they do. We still cannot believe we have won a national award like this.”

England’s Business Awards recognise a diverse range of businesses across the country, with regional finals taking place throughout the year before the grand final in November.

The Spennymoor branch were crowned Best Travel Agent in County Durham at April’s north east final before scooping the top prize at the national awards.
