Kraków is a city where history, culture, and charm come together in perfect harmony. Once the royal capital of Poland, it’s a place where every cobblestone tells a story and every square bursts with life. Stroll through the stunning Old Town, marvel at the magnificent Wawel Castle, or relax in the vibrant atmosphere of the Main Market Square. From the sound of church bells echoing through ancient streets to the aroma of traditional Polish cuisine, Kraków captivates all who visit. Whether you’re exploring centuries-old architecture, discovering hidden cafés, or soaking up the city’s creative spirit, Kraków offers an unforgettable experience that lingers long after you’ve left.

I also love going on city breaks, and one of my absolute favourites is Kraków. It’s a truly beautiful city, rich in culture and history, with so much to see and explore. The main square is a real highlight-lined with stunning architecture, charming bars, and fantastic restaurants serving delicious local dishes. Wandering through the cobbled streets, you can feel the city’s energy blending the old with the new. The sound of street musicians, the aroma of freshly baked pretzels, and the glow of lanterns at dusk create an atmosphere that’s both romantic and timeless. Kraków has a way of drawing you in and making you feel completely at home.

Kraków is full of character, with historic landmarks and comforting food around every corner. The main square, Rynek Główny, is always buzzing-lined with cafés, market stalls, and the impressive St. Mary’s Basilica. Just a short walk away, Wawel Castle sits above the river, offering great views and a glimpse into Poland’s royal past. The Kazimierz district adds a creative, laid-back vibe with its mix of history and street art. When it comes to food, Kraków keeps things simple and satisfying. You’ll find warm obwarzanek sold from carts, crispy zapiekanka from local takeaways, and traditional dishes like pierogi and żurek served in cozy restaurants. It’s a city that’s easy to enjoy.

We also explored the Wieliczka Salt Mines, which were absolutely fascinating. The intricate carvings and underground chapels are like nothing I’ve ever seen before-it’s an unforgettable experience. Walking through the tunnels, surrounded by shimmering salt sculptures and vast chambers carved entirely from rock salt, feels almost otherworldly. It’s incredible to think of the craftsmanship and dedication that created such a breathtaking space so deep beneath the earth. The Wieliczka Salt Mines are a true testament to human creativity and resilience, making them a must-see for anyone visiting Kraków.
