Hays Travel rewards top cruise-selling homeworkers with Norway trip

04/09/2025

Hays Travel has rewarded its top cruise-selling homeworkers with a trip to Norway.
A total of 15 Personal Travel Consultants (PTCs) and Explorer franchisees boarded Fred. Olsen’s Balmoral at Newcastle and set sail for the Norwegian fjords, as part of the ‘Captain’s Table’ initiative.
Eilidh McKerry, an Explorer franchisee, said: “These trips are invaluable to learn more about cruise products, build relationships with our trade partners and learn from our peers in the industry.
“It’s fantastic to celebrate our success and we really appreciate the investment by Hays and Fred. Olsen, but the trip is much more than a top sellers’ reward.
“It’s another opportunity to drive our business forward, learn from the experience and people and then promote to our customers.”

It’s fantastic to celebrate our success

Katie Hughes from Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines hosted the five-night trip which set sail on 23 August.
Guests enjoyed dining in speciality restaurants, taking to the dancefloor at a silent disco, and some of the homeworkers even braved an open water swim in Olden.
Carla Blount, a PTC, said: “The food on board was incredible; there was a real choice to suit everyone.
“We also did a behind the scenes tour to see how the ship operates, and we were very lucky to meet the captain on the bridge for a photo opportunity.”
Amy Brooke, Hays Travel’s Head of PTC and PTC Lead Supported, added: “We started the Captain’s Table incentive three years ago and it is a highly sought-after reward. Our members strive to achieve a place on the amazing trips we offer each year.
“This initiative drives cruise focus within the division and friendly competition among members.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Fred. Olsen for a truly unforgettable experience for those lucky people who got to attend. I know they all had an incredible time.”
