Billingham travel agents have delighted some young people this Easter by delivering more than 120 Easter eggs and activity packs to the children's ward at North Tees Hospital.

The team from Hays Travel in Billingham have been collecting donations of Easter eggs and activity packs from their customers and hand delivered them to the children’s ward at North Tees on Thursday 26 March.

One of the team even dressed up as the Easter Bunny to entertain the children.

Branch manager, Charlotte Sigsworth, said: “We wanted to bring a smile to the children who are spending Easter in hospital this year by delivering them Easter eggs and activity packs.

"It was all made possible by the amazing donations from our wonderful Billingham community.

“My lovely second year apprentice, Paige, even dressed as the Easter Bunny!”

Hays Travel is the UK’s largest independent travel agent, with branches across the UK – all committed to supporting their customers and the local communities they serve.

Each Hays Travel branch is provided with a £500 budget to use for fundraising and charity work in their local area; £200 of this is to be used to fundraise for charities which support young people’s mental health, and the other £300 can be used for charities chosen by the branch.

In the last year, Hays Travel’s Local Community Partnership initiative across its retail network has donated almost £170,000 to local charities.
