Hello! I’m Devon and I have been working for Hays Travel for four years now. Fast forward to 2019 and I am now working in the Sunderland branch as a Travel Consultant
Hi, I’m May and I began my apprenticeship with Hays Travel in September 2015 as an Apprentice Travel Consultant. I have since completed my apprenticeship and now work as a Travel Consultant in the Bournemouth branch. This is my apprenticeship story…
Adele began her apprenticeship programme with Hays Travel in August 2018, joining the HTOL Customer Relations department in head office. This is her story so far…
Michaela works as part of our Personal Travel Consultant business development team here in Head Office and recently headed to Mexico on an educational trip to check out the TRS Yucatan hotel courtesy of Palladium Group!
I started at Hays Travel following the acquisition of Bath Travel in 2013. My career started with Bath in 1980 on the YTS programme.
I have been working within the travel industry for the past 20 years and I’m currently the Manager for the Halifax Branch.
Jenny decided two years ago she was going to leave her job to pursue her dream of being a travel consultant.
I was asked where I see myself within 5 years and I said straight away, I want to be an assistant manager or manager!
Rae works as as a Travel Consultant in our branch in New Milton and she was lucky enough to be selected to go on an educational to Egypt!
I felt I would be lonely working on my own, but I have never felt that due to the amount of support we get.
Homeworking is something I have tried several times within different industries, and finally it is becoming the experience I hoped it would be.
From the moment I first spoke to the recruitment team to now, I have had the full support from head office and the homeworking teams.
I love being a Homeworker because I have so much more flexibility with my working hours, my only regret is that I never done it earlier.
The apprenticeship scheme has taught me many things and especially that you are there to help everybody.
I love that every day is different when you work in travel, you are always meeting new people and working on new and exciting enquiries.
If you want a job full of excitement where no day is the same then I would encourage applying for Hays Travel straight away!
It’s a great way to earn whilst you learn as it gives you a real insight into the job and the industry.
I have always loved travel and after I finished studying Travel & Tourism at college, I knew I wanted to get straight into the industry.
I have been a homeworking Personal Travel Consultant with Hays Travel for the past 2 ½ years. They have been my most enjoyable and rewarding working years to date.
The best thing about working in Hays Travel for myself is the constant feeling of team work and that you are never alone.
I am now well into the second year of my apprenticeship & I continue to develop & learn more every day!
I love travel and the apprenticeship has been above and beyond my expectations, learning about different destinations and suppliers.
One of the best things of working for Hays Travel is the family feeling and working with the most friendliest bunch of people.
I never really thought about joining travel, until I saw the apprenticeship application pop up. I decided to go for it and the rest is history!
The apprenticeship scheme has taught me everything I know in travel to be honest, everything from worldwide geography, supplier training days.
The apprenticeship scheme taught me about company in more detail and how the company strives on making sure you can be the best you.
Sophie from our Lymington branch worked for us as a forex consultant but wanted to move into travel sales.
