Westhoughton Local Community Partnership

Hays Travel Westhoughton arranged a charity coach trip to York in aid of Senior Solutions. Senior Solutions is a charity in Westhoughton that helps older people in the local community through a range of services such as befriending, luncheon clubs and a social group.

Due to the success of the ticket sales, the branch ran two coaches for the trip, selling 98 tickets in total. For the event, the branch arranged a coach trip to York where customers could go shopping and enjoy a day in York. On the coach, customers could take part in bingo, scratch cards and raffles, all whilst enjoying a glass of fizz. 

The coach trip was a huge success, with customers saying that they had a great time, with York being a ‘wonderful’ location to visit and that everything was ‘organised to perfection.’ In total, the branch raised an incredible £1,547 which will go towards supporting Senior Solutions’ services.
