Scripture Union Scotland

Scripture Union Scotland is a charity that provides holiday and weekend breaks for over 3,000 children and young people across Scotland. In addition to providing holiday and weekend breaks, Scripture Union Scotland also provides extra-curricular clubs and high quality curriculum content for schools. 

Scripture Union Scotland received funding from the Hays Travel Foundation to fund outdoor learning and residential experiences, making them more affordable and accessible to people who need it the most. The charity has worked with a range of children from a range of schools across Scotland, have involved them in a range of activities such as archery, canoeing, mountain biking and rock climbing. 

The activities have been extremely beneficial to young people as they have been able to learn new skills, and build positive relationships with their friends, whilst also working on their own confidence and resilience.

The charity claimed that they have been able to deliver meaningful outdoor experiences, that wouldn’t otherwise have been able to have been offered.
