Salford Local Community Partnership

Hays Travel Salford took part in a sponsored walk in aid of Maddi’s Butterflies. Maddi’s Butterflies is a charity set up in memory of Madison Allen who passed away from neuroblastoma. The charity aims to supply ‘Smile Bags’ to children suffering from cancer, and aims to try and put a smile back on their faces.

For the sponsored walk, the team at Hays Travel Salford walked from Manchester Airport to Maddi’s Butterflies in Prestwich, which equated to 14.5 miles. The walk was not just a physical challenge, but also a heartfelt tribute to those who have fought against neuroblastoma as well as an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for those still fighting.

The team were so proud of their achievement, especially as they had little to no preparation, and went straight into the walk and didn’t give up. In total, the branch managed to raise over £1,100 for Maddi’s Butterflies which will go towards providing their services to those who need it the most.
