Phoenix Detached Youth Project

Phoenix Detached Youth Project is an organisation that works with young people to develop their ideas and support their life choices, as well as their education. The organisation also aims to develop the physical, mental and spiritual capacities so they can grow to full maturity, and be individual members of the society. 

Phoenix Detached Youth Project received a grant from the Hays Travel Foundation to fund their music project for young people who face significant social and economic barriers. The aim of the project is to allow teenagers to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop new skills in a safe and supportive environment. 

Through the funding from the Hays Travel Foundation, Phoenix Detached Youth Project have been able to offer activities such as singing lessons and live performances across North Tyneside. In addition to this, participants have also been able to give back to the community by performing classic songs for older people at an assisted living space near the charity.
