Lochlan's Legacy

Lochlan’s Legacy is a charity that aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma, enhance inclusion and support the Type 1 Diabetes community. The charity raises awareness through education, workshops, and events, and support families and individuals living with the condition. 

Lochlan’s Legacy received a grant from the Hays Travel Foundation to the youth club to develop a roadshow called Beyond Blood Sugars, which had over 70 attendees, including representatives from the NHS, and diabetes technology companies. In addition to this, the youth group has attended various events to raise awareness of Type 1 Diabetes, and have collectively accumulated over 200 volunteer hours. 

Through the work of Lochlan’s Legacy, more people have been able to learn about Type 1 Diabetes, and awareness has been raised.
