Halesowen Local Community Partnership

Hays Travel Halesowen arranged a charity Summer Sun Fun Day in aid of Fairy Bricks as part of the Black Country Community Day. Fairy Bricks is a charity with the objective to give LEGO to children in hospital as play is a vital part of the recovery process as it provides comfort and distraction from the hospital.

On the day, the branch held games such as ring toss and balance the coin on the lemon which were enjoyed by local children and customers. In addition to the games, the branch also held a raffle where there were prizes to be won such as Lego sets, as well as items kindly donated by local businesses and suppliers such as easyJet Holidays.

The event was a success for the branch, where they managed to raise over £120 for Fairy Bricks, which will allow the charity to distribute more Lego sets to children receiving hospital treatment.
