Ebbw Vale Local Community Partnership

Hays Travel Ebbw Vale arranged a charity hike in aid of 21 Plus; 21 Plus is a charity that provides support to families within the Down’s Syndrome community through a range of services including weekly speech, language and communication groups, a youth group and residential camps. 

Sian, Branch Manager at Ebbw Vale felt inspired to fundraise for 21 Plus as they have helped out her grandson and family by providing reassurance and guidance. To raise money for the charity, Sian decided to challenge herself to climb up Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in south Wales, measuring a staggering 886m. 

Despite the challenging conditions, Sian completed the hike stating, ‘It was the hardest thing I have ever done, but worth it for the funds raised.’ 

In total the branch raised an incredible £900 which will massively help the services of 21 Plus.
