Disability Snowsport UK

Disability Snowsport UK envisions mountains and ski slopes free from barriers where disabled children and young people can take part in and enjoy snowsport alongside family, friends and peers.  The charity offers adaptive skiing and snowboarding which allows disabled people to transform their confidence, fitness and friendships, helping to unlock their potential and enrich their quality and enjoyment of life.

Disability Snowsport UK received a grant from the Hays Travel Foundation to fund sessions for young people at the Adaptive Snowsport School. With the funding from the Hays Travel Foundation, it has allowed for young people to receive one to one lessons as well as group sessions, that have helped children and young people with conditions such as cerebral palsy, brain injury and hearing or visual impairment.

With the funding from the Hays Travel Foundation, Disability Snowsport UK have been able to offer their services to over 140 young people across 210 sessions at the Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
