Castleford Local Community Partnership

Hays Travel Castleford arranged a charity fundraising day in aid of Food Bank at The Link. Food Bank at The Link is ran by volunteers to support people and families facing food insecurity in the community. The organisation provides emergency food parcels that include basic essential food items for those experiencing hardship.

For the event, Hays Travel Castleford had a tombola, bake sale and raffle to raise funds for the charity. For the raffle, the branch had prizes kindly donated by businesses in Carlton Lanes Shopping Centre such as the florists and hairdressers.

In total, the branch raised £1,200 for Food Bank at The Link which will go towards helping those in the community who are living in poverty.
