Brighouse Local Community Partnership

Hays Travel Brighouse took part in Overgate Hospice’s Big Bikeathon. Overgate Hospice provides expert care, support, advice and information for patients and their families, carers and loved ones. The Hospice looks after people over the age of 18 who have a terminal illness or long term condition that cannot be cured, and are proud to provide their services free of charge and to be inclusive of all people.

For the Bikeathon, the branch cycled 304 miles from London to Paris in aid of the charity and the branch were given a bike from the Hospice to help them to complete this challenge. The challenge took the branch five days to complete, and they even had some help from their customers to clock up the miles, creating a great sense of community in branch.

In total, the branch raised over £560 for Overgate Hospice which will help them to continue to provide their services to people who need it the most.
