Can I choose my own hours?
Of course, yes. Our self-employed models are completely flexible and so the hours you work will be chosen by you based on your own schedule. Please remember that you are investing in yourself and working in the Travel Industry and so the more you put in, the more you could potentially get out of this.
How long will it take to be up and running?
The process will start with a contract being sent for signature, along with collection of the join fee. We will then go through the process of setting you up with systems and booking you onto Induction Training. We typically hold an Induction date each month and the cut off for booking is two weeks prior to the training date. You should be able to go live within 4-6 weeks of signing your consultancy agreement.
What kind of support will I receive?
Our Homeworking Division has a team of travel industry professionals on hand to support you. We have a dedicated Homeworking Operations team based at our Head Office in Sunderland plus you will be appointed a Business Development Coach to support you and offer advice.
Is there a monthly management fee?
The Management Fee is £65 per month, taken via direct debit
Is there any support for when I go on my own personal holiday?
Of course! When it’s time for you to take time out for your own holiday, simply complete an out of office form, and our Hays Travel Customer Services team will be on hand to help your customers should they need anything whilst you are away.
How do commission payments work?
Commission is paid 50% month after booking and 50% month after departure
Will I have my own website?

Can I be based abroad?
Our agents must be based primarily in the UK. With a UK address, passport, bank account and right to work in the UK.
I have UK Travel Agency experience, but it was over 5 years ago
Providing you have at least 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years, this Return to Travel model could suit. This is a new model, and terms and conditions will apply. We will review your experience and advise whether this model would apply, or you may be referred to the New to Travel model. For anything outside of 10 years, our New to Travel models will apply.
