Join our Academy Leads Supported and we will provide you with Quality Leads for you to work, and convert into bookings. This gives you the opportunity to build up your knowledge and experience and have enquiries at your fingertips to get started.

Can I choose my own hours?

Of course, yes. Our self-employed models are completely flexible and so the hours you work will be chosen by you based on your own schedule. For our Lead Supported model, our suggestion would be to work at least 20 hours where possible. Please remember that you are investing in yourself and working in the Travel Industry and so the more you put in, the more you could potentially get out of this. 

How long will it take to be up and running?

The process will start with a contract being sent for signature, along with collection of the join fee. We will then go through the process of setting you up with systems and booking you onto Induction Training. We typically hold an Induction date each month and the cut off for booking is two weeks prior to the training date. You should be able to go live within 4-6 weeks of signing your consultancy agreement. 

What kind of support will I receive?

Our Homeworking Division has a team of travel industry professionals on hand to support you. We have a dedicated Homeworking Operations team based at our Head Office in Sunderland plus you will be appointed a Business Development Coach to support you and offer advice. 

Is there a monthly management fee?

The Academy New to Travel models have no monthly m anagement fee for the first 12 months of your agreement. From month 13, the management fee will be £65 per month.  

Is there a payment plan option for the Academy model?

You are required to pay an upfront, non refundable deposit of £2400 inclusive of VAT at time of joining. This equates to the first 6 months fees. From month 7, we will collect £400 per calendar month for the remaining 18 months. 

Will the Lead Supported model have any expectations of me?

In order to make the Leads Supported model work for you, you will need to ensure you have a working pattern you can committ to be online ready to take leads. Your Business Development Coach will support you with conversion of the leads  and offer coaching and development where needed and can share with you the busiest times of the day to work to assist with your planning.  

 

Whilst you will choose your working hours, we request that you share the hours you may be available, 2 weeks in advance via a shared system. This allows us to plan, and delegate leads effectively. We recommend committing to at least 20 hours per week for this model. Your initial training will focus on handling leads and web enquiries, followed by live chat training 

Do Hays provide any client leads or marketing support to help build my business, or would I be expected to generate all business independently?

We have two models available both with and without leads. The leads supported model, we can provide you with leads that come into Hays via call, live chat, email and web enquiries. Both models include social media support where we provide you with boosts, templates, images. We also have our creative team in head office who can support if you require something specific. We provide you with a budget each financial year which can be used to order business cards/leaflets. Stationary such as welcome home cards, thank you for booking cards ticket wallets can also be ordered free of charge. 

How do commission payments work?

Commission is paid 50% month after booking and 50% month after departure.

Will I have my own website?

Is there any support for when I go on my own personal holiday?

Of course! When it’s time for you to take time out for your own holiday, simply complete an out of office form, and our Hays Travel Customer Services team will be on hand to help your customers should they need anything whilst you are away. 

Can I be based abroad?

Our agents must be based primarily in the UK. With a UK address, passport, bank account and right to work in the UK.
