Rose Price - Why i love working for Hays!
I started at Hays Travel following the acquisition of Bath Travel in 2013. My career started with Bath in 1980 on the YTS programme. I continued as a Travel consultant in Fordingbridge until I took a career break to have a family in late 1984. I returned in 1990 part time and progressed through to Assistant Manager in Ringwood, finally taking over as Manager in 2008.
The opportunity to progress in Hays is huge. We have a fantastic apprenticeship programme which is a great way in for the younger generation and guarantees a job with us. We run a vast amount of in-house training programmes including Rising Stars which helps progression from here right up to management.
Since being with Hays I have completed many training courses including five steps to selling, effective communications, motivating teams and personal effectiveness. No matter what your position there is always a refresher course that can benefit you and your team.
I have personally achieved my high flyer status every year since being with Hays, I received my year five high flyer badge earlier this year of which I am very proud. As a team we have won various awards such as branch of the month, high flyer of the month and also top selling branch for various operators. I also received a long service award four years ago which takes pride of place on my desk.
I have a whole host of support from my team right through to my RSM and Head Office. I have regular one to one catch ups with my RSM and can pick up the phone at any time to any of the Head Office Team if necessary.
