My honeymoon destination

I’ve chosen Mexico as it was never on my list until I got invited to a family wedding and went along as a one off visit

I have since been 3 times including my own honeymoon where I stayed up the coast from Cancun at the truly beautiful resort Akumal with its white sand underfoot and crystal clear waters, home of the baby turtles

Cancun itself has everything to offer from chilled days on the white sandy beaches to nightclubs to shopping to delectable Mexican cuisine

It’s a long flight but it’s so worth it when you arrive in paradise. 

My Bucket List destination

I’ve chosen Iceland as it’s been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember and it was even better than I imagined when I visited in December.  I cannot wait to go again and keep my fingers crossed for a Northern Lights appearance next time

Simply stunning – The scenery is absolutely beautiful everywhere you go it’s like something out of a movie. It took my breath away.

The geysirs are mind blowing (don’t forget to move away from the direction of the wind or you’ll be soaked like me!)

The quirky food you just have to sample – dried fish, fermented shark

A day at the Blue Lagoon after all the excursions is so relaxing, one of my favourite days of the trip, silicone mud masks and cocktails whilst relaxing in the Blue Lagoon waters really is the ultimate relaxation.

The Motherland

Of course I’m biased with this one as I’m half Maltese but Malta really is a little piece of Mediterranean paradise.

Just 3 hours away so a nice short flight and boasts over 300 days of sunshine every year

This little island has so much to offer for all ages

Take a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon and Camino Island and swim in the crystal clear waters

Wander the streets of the silent city of Mdina (my personal favourite, there’s nothing better than sitting with a coffee in the sunshine and walking the little cobbled streets within the ancient walled city) Mdina is over 4000 years old and is full of Maltese Tradition

Visit Popeye village, a fun day out for all the family – walk the set of the 1980 film featuring Robin Williams

And don’t forget to try a pastizzi or two!!
