As a UK break, my favourite place must be the Lake District without a doubt. Not only did me and my husband get married here we have been quite regular whether that be camping or staying in a lovely lodge with a hot tub. The lake District is England’s largest National Park and home to its largest mountain, Scafell Pike. There are breath-taking lakes, soaring mountains - known locally as 'fells', picturesque valleys and even sandy coastline. Whether you take a boat cruise on lake Windermere, visit Honister slate mine, attempt driving over those thrilling mountain passes or go hiking up the mountains, there is always something to do and what a beautiful place to do it!

My favourite city holiday has to be New York. If the dazzling lights and atmosphere of the big apple don’t draw you in, then I don’t know what will. The city that never sleeps is such a magical place, from the well-known yellow taxis to the tall skyscrapers that beautifully light up the sky on a night-time.  Times square is not and area to be missed with plenty of entertainment, restaurants and shops. If you are after extra luxury, then you can visit Fifth Avenue or take a stroll down Broadway to catch a live show. Why not walk or cycle along Brooklyn Bridge, one the oldest suspension bridges in the world, the views are amazing. If you don’t mind heights then why not visit the Empire State Building, this building has been in hundreds of movies and one of my favourites must be Home Alone Lost in New York. If you can manage 154 steps to the crown of The Statue of Liberty, it is well worth it, the views are panoramic. One place in New York that you can’t leave without visiting is the 9/11 memorial. This area really does pull on my heart strings.

My favourite Villa holiday, we recently stayed in a Villa at Son Bou, Menorca for 10 nights. Menorca was just perfect for us as a family as its quite a quiet Island. In Son Bou itself there were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The Kit Kat Bar is an English bar, which served incredible Full English Breakfasts. Our Villa was a few minutes’ drive from the beach. There was a huge beach car park which was ideal if you have kids and lots of things to take down to the beach. The beach was beautiful, and you could hire a sun lounger for the day. There are a few beach restaurants you can choose from and sit and watch the sunset over the horizon. We were lucky and could see the far end of Menorca and the coast of Majorca in the distance with the sun setting between them. We did spend a lot of time at the villa with it having a pool, but we did visit a zoo called Lloc Minorca which was a 15-minute drive away and we visited Splash Sur Menorca, which is a big water park, and it was 35 minutes’ drive away. A quite holiday but perfect to spend quality time as a family together.
