Where do I start about Kenya – it is one of my top places to visit. The must do in Kenya is to go on safari and we stayed at the Governor’s Camp in Nairobi for our honeymoon. The adventures I had are amongst my most lasting holiday memories: seeing giraffes running across the African savanna and watching a pride of lions hunt a buffalo, we also visited a local village, where we met a local tribe who showed us their way of living. I also stayed at a beach resort in Zanzibar and what a contrast – the sand was so white and gorgeous crystal-clear water! With its fantastic food and unique experiences, it is a must for every bucket list. 

I have travelled to many resorts in Tenerife, and we try to go at least once a year. It has something for everyone, golfers, luxury, family and couples. Weather in the Canary Islands is consistent throughout the year with highs of 28c in the summer month and if you fancy getting away from the cold in the UK has highs of 20c in November. Tenerife has one of the best water parks in Europe called Siam Park based in Adeje, which is an easy bus ride away from the south side of the island and great fun all ages. The island also has lots of lovely restaurants and bars.

I first visited Turkey for a friend’s wedding in an area called Kalkan and have now been back several times since and wow what a beautiful place it is. Lots of different little restaurants and bars with stunning views over the harbour. The weather is great for the summer months and begins to drop a bit towards the end of October. Even though it’s a small town it has so much to offer from boat trips, beach clubs, spas to eating breakfast in the mountains. The food is amazing. I can recommend several fantastic restaurants which cater for all dietary requirements.
