We recently raised cash in support of aspiring Paralympian and local wheelchair fencing superstar Joshua Waddell. The team in our branch will be donating £523.60 towards helping the 15-year-old achieve his dream and compete in the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
In order to make this a reality, he has to complete a number of international competitions and extensive training in the years leading up to the Games.
The funds we raised through a coach trip to York, where friends and customers of our branch enjoyed a day out while supported a local sports talent. We’ve had great feedback so far and enquiries from people asking when we are next having a coach trip.
We would like to wish the best of luck to Josh! Being able to make this contribution is fantastic, and we hope that he is now one step closer to fulfilling his dream.
