We are continuing to support the Salisbury Hospice Charity. We have helped them raise the vital funds needed to enable the hospice to continue to offer nursing and medical care, emotional and practical support, welfare advice, occupational and physiotherapy, complementary therapies, spiritual care and creative activities.
We have been supporting Pembroke Park Primary School with their environmental project, which helped them build a wildlife pond. Recently, we delivered them some presents... a Hedgehog House, a Frog & Toad Bunker, a tank to view tadpoles, a book all about frogs & tadpoles, and also some figures to show how frogs grow! This September we supported 'Amélie's Challenge'. Amélie was involved in a car accident which tragically took her Dad's life. Middlemoor firefighters (who helped on the scene) did a bike ride from Exeter to Basingstoke - passing 5 Hays shops along the way - to raise money to send Amélie and her family on an unforgettable, all-expenses paid trip to Disney World. We held a weekend-long in-store event, with a static bike ride, raffle and bake sale, which helped us raise £315 towards this amazing cause!
Every year we also sponsor Speech Day prizes for South Wilts Grammar School held in our beautiful Cathedral.
